Maybe...i have not come across such technique before. So far my girl/s who slept long through the day will not be able to sleep during "sleeping time" (night) and i am usually surprised by what i am getting thereafter. Well...i mean the good kind of surprises,hehehe...

(most time girls who slept long during the day have had too much drink the previous night with their customers)

There are always ways and methods to resolve every such technique used,hehehe....even for menses issue,hehehe... (fake or non-fake)

The hotel is baloi hotel with free bra in the room if you are lucky��

That is relatively surprising to me. I always thought 4 star hotel room service cleaning standard always top notch. iHotel's occupier were mostly families...hehehe...well... thanks for sharing. Hehehe...next trip who knows,maybe can also pick up free panties there,hehehe... *touch wood* (can go buy 4D or toto then)

Whenever i bring friends to Batam,i will have some worries if the friends i bring will have those mentality that they think they can bury someone and drown the people there with money kind of attitude.

Example : "i got the money ma...i want you to do what also can and you MUST respect me as i am your pay master", kind of mentality.

I see people with such mentality in my nearly EVERY trip to Batam,especially obvious at the hotel reception and various food court,demanding in a loud spoken voice for the sky and moon.

I would like to equate the location of Biz Hotel is the same as Jingzhou 荆州 in The warring 3 kingdoms era.:p

Nice comparison, using the 3 Kingdom novel to describe Biz hotel's location,hehehe...just to add on the good part,the price for this 3 star Biz Hotel is almost equivalent to those more popular 2 star hotel like Hana, Nine Days Hotel,Kireinn,Dgrande etc,usually at around S$38.00 inclusive of tax. However,the setback is their massage/spa and their restaurant food which usually cost as high as most 4 star hotel which keeps me at bay. Not an everything under one roof hotel for me,hehehe...and they are always full.

Oh,and they do have some nice rooms with a good city view too.Maybe next trip go try stay there. I have been eyeing on their Junior suite for a while,hehehe...

I am not a fan of shopping,but i need to shop becos i need to fund my own trip,hehehe....hence very often,i bought quite a bit of stuffs from Batam back to Sillypore,doing it fast so as to be able to go back to do what i like to do.

hey just to share with you guys. if you guys want cheaper 2 ways tickets to and from batam center you could purchase your tickets at batam (location near formosa hotel)

Thank you for sharing...even tho i do not need to travel via Batam Center today,its always good to know extra information. For your info,most money changers and food courts (even some retail shops) in Batam are selling ferry tickets going via Batam Center,Sekupang and i think some other ferry terminals too at around 300k rupiah too. If you often travel via Batam Center,its a good choice.

I preferred less crowd,better safety and lesser hassles hence Horizon Ferry via Harbour Bay is my choice of travel and i reach Batam Harbour Bay terminal usually in less than 50 mins almost all the time. Having said all the above,my main setback on Horizon Ferry is,its No Smoking ferry... *sob*...and i am a smoker. (there is no such thing as all good and no bad or all bad and no good)

Adding on to my own theory why i prefer Harbour Bay :

Safety,getting things done at the right timing has always been my priority during traveling to Batam hence i choose to drop off at Harbour Bay. Let's also not forget ,Batam custom has send about 50 Sillyporean tourist back to Sillypore EVERY week. (http://www.realreviews.com/forum/showthread.php?t=109654&highlight=Batam) (almost all such send-back occurs from Batam Center ferry terminal and there,some custom officer/s also known to ask for money)

One of my all time GREATEST FEAR in Batam,their legal authorities (Police,Soldiers and Custom officers).

I do have a question on this hotel during your time of stay if you are still around to read this post. Do they have Wifi during those time when you were staying there?

The reason why i am asking is becos i have always thought that this hotel starts off w/o having wifi (from reading)...and later they have some minor fix to start having wifi at Lobby and corridor area etc. And then over time,they now have in-room wifi. I have heard rumors of this hotel charging customers for using their wifi too.

Anyway,i cant be there to tell as i only visit Batam around 2 years ago. I am purely just curious here and there's no obligation to reply me.

But there is one thing i notice that always happen to me during my Batam travel, that is if i ever buy something from the Harbour Front DFS upon returning thru Singapore Harbour Front custom,100% they will do a check on my belongings (even tho what i bought from DFS was completely legal,eg.Liquor etc). So far,i have zero escape on this part.

How I wish I can buy discounted Horizon Ferry ticket in Batam.

Only possible if there are more competition among ferry companies heading to Harbour Bay i guess,hehehe...Horizon is now monopolizing Harbour Bay and Batamfast to Harbour Bay is just like a sidekick with only 4 ferry timing but priced at around the similar price like Horizon.

First to keep in mind, most girls at booking joints and even the FLs are NOT porn stars, do not watch porn movies and even have a rather "primitive" concept of sex games. They are just normal girls with economic problems, who thought to make money by doing sex, where "sex" at least initially is what they are used to do with their first husband or boyfriend (in many cases, not much more than missionary or cowgirl: not even oral sex is common for a kampung girl).

This place is new,only 3 girls available. 70k per hour,90k for 1.5 hours. The rest never really check. 2 options of special available,HJ was 1st quoted at 300k,bargained to 150k with full strip,full roaming. FJ was quoted at 500k and bargained to 300k,i didnt take that up. Girl is 23 year old,gave birth once before. We exceeded slightly more than an hour so was charged 70k/hr even tho we opted for 1.5 hour massage. Massage quality was semi piano.

Place and premises : New,everything was good and clean (still no hot water).
Girl quality : 3 photos of only 3 girls,only 70% lookalike. 2 of them was sisters
Girls Look : 1 was 8/10,another 7/10 and my girl 6.5/10
Massage quality : Not for massage lovers. i will rate 5/10 for Batam standard,6/10 for Sillypore standard.
Special service : Very accomodating,hehehe...do as i was told.i will rate my girl 7.5/10 overall.

Overall review : 6/10,I wont be RTM anytime soon as this place is still pretty new.

Upon arrival walk out of Harbour Bay to grab a taxi for RP25k to Sederhana nasi padang across Harmoni hotel. Pay RP295 for 4 paxs. Then walked 5 mins to Planet Hotel which was prebooked thru Agoda for a mere $56. It was cheap compared to their prices of $100 plus during their hay days. Room came with a king size bed and bath tub but without breakfast. Check in/out was a breeze. Stay overall was pleasant.

If it's peak period or U're planning to book for a peak period, it can't hurt to call them and chope the hotel room first; otherwise, if suay-suay reach there and they tell u it's sold out, then it's sian 1/2...

I suppose it'll also help you to plan more effectively; you'll know straightaway via a phone call if your 1st and thereafter subsequent choice of hotel is sold out or not..

Lol,many men brings a prideful heart to btm. Always can see em talking loudly in many hotels & shopping mall.

Ironically,most Sillyporean do not like the PRC's lesser civilized culture of talking loudly in public when in Sillypore. But when those who didnt like the lesser civilised behaviour arrived to Batam,many (not all tho) behave ALMOST like some loud spoken PRCs in Sillypore,even worse when they are in group.

I once saw a group 4 to 5 young Sillypore ah bengs (with gold-dyed hair around 30 years old of age) 2 or 3 trips ago in Formosa playing and talking loudly just outside Formosa reception after they came back with their booking girls. Their few booking girls were just seated quietly outside the Vienna restaurant chairs smoking while these boys were playing and teasing each other like little children. I think i might still have the video recording of them somewhere,hehehe...:D

I think the noise they made were so loud that the entire reception area from the lift till inside the restaurants can hear them. And i am talking about both Tea story restaurant and Vienna,hehehe...so in a way,talking overly loud is not just Sillypore Auntie's specialty,it also applies to younger Siilyporean bros cheonging Batam in group too.

Not all r SGrean but mostly only,oso got other country pple too.Wait til u see those indo chinese auntie talking.

I would say most of them are from Sillypore becos most Sillyporean has a Singlish accent when they talked loudly while walking with wings beneath their arm whenever they (men) talk,hehehe... if they werent walking,their hands (and fingers) will make movement in the air.Many of them didnt realise that.

This place can be a good makan place, till the jackpots fully re-open again. Then u see the Boss close shop early almost everyday :D

When i was there at the eatery shop,the one who cooked was an Indo Indonesian. I see most of their food should be Halal since there was no pork dishes in their menu.

The first words I learn in any new country I visit are the names of food :D
In Batam, I learned nasi, ayam, sotong, udang, kepiting, rajungan, kerapu, bawal... and goreng, bakar,... well before than I learned how to say "good morning". It's about surviving.;)

A lot of hotels in Batam has a LAN port in the room,but most of it isnt functional. Even 90% of Formosa Hotel rooms Lan Port on the wall didnt work too. And even when it does,its not so well,hence i often have to talk to the network staffs there. I am looking for a business center-like hotel that has a Lan connection tho.

Around S$29 & 3 star too. Good for Sedona fan ,i find it even better loc than Amir.

Yea,i forget about this hotel and thank you for reminding...its a fairly good old hotel that has almost everything under one roof. Got massage parlor and lounge too,hehehe...not forgetting a swimming pool and ...their rooms has a bath tub.

So Amir isnt the cheapest...i guess most older hotels were fighting among themselves for guests base on lowering their price point. Good for most Batam visitors i guess,hehehe...

City Central hotel just got downgrade to 1 star...lol

City Central was quite a disappointment over a period of time. They start off quite alrightl in the beginning,but nowaday most complains were their rooms having some insects (crawling and flying around),toilet and room have got thick fungal smell,air-con not functioning properly (it auto turn off after few hours) and hotel staffs service not-so-flexible etc etc.. they even double their room price during CNY 2016 too,hehehe...at least thats what i read. :p

Good information for those dropping themselves off at Batam Center ferry terminal.

Good lesson for those who has the tendency to speak loudly as if the one they spoke to is deaf,hehehe....

I have seen in Harbour Bay custom that the custom officers shouted across the queue to ask people waiting in line to shut up few times...however, no one was deported back to Sillypore from there. Most likely it is becos Batam Center got more ferry companies dropping passengers at their terminal hence even if everyone there were to whisper,the volume can add up to quite a substantial amount of noise in the earsss of the custom officersss.

Batam Center custom officers seems to be more stressed up (given the fact the volume of ferry passengers they need to handle were much more) when i make those comparison,hehehe...

In the old rooms of Formosa, there was a potentially very useful tree of variously shaped plugs at the bed side to recharge mobile phones, but also those plugs were not working in most cases :(

Well, you have some day/s for solo trip .....you can do the recce..... and if you do, let me know, I will join you. There are certain massage places somewhere far away from where we will normally pass by and not easy to access ... need transport and I do like to explore these out of reach places.

Me too. There are as much massage shops as hotels in Batam if not more. I prefer to do things each step a time and not plan too much in a single day :

1. Find my cheapest transport (at least 2 travelling options so there's a comparison versus the number of heads i am with)

2. Look for the places i wish to go to

3. Look for a hotel near the places i wish to go to before i proceed

4. Map out the route with landmarks (prominent buildings,hotels etc)

5. I go,hehehe...

I often tell my friends,there are more massage shops in Batam than the amount of hotels there. And trying them out isnt really that expensive (as in massage hop).

Our definition of new places can be different.Where you have gone,i may not have go before and those i have gone to,you may not have go before. If we were one day fated to link up together,my plan will be i go to 1 place you go before (which i havent gone to),you go to one place i go before (which you havent gone to) and then one other place which both of us have not go before,hehehe...that way,we both covered 3 places. :D

Not much choice, spas, massage shops & eateries scattered all over the place in Batam Center ... difficult to walk.

According to record i consolidated,Batam center area have a lot of really good food and at low price,hehehe...but the spa and massage shops can cost quite a bit,and mostly clean.

Oh,clean or not doesnt exactly matter much to me nowaday,hehehe...my whole idea and concern is to turn the clean ones dirty,hehehe...

How s the room compare to Hana or City Central?

Basic room to basic room,they were comparable with each other.

Best room to best room,City central won by one thumb but City Central best room quite expensive,around 588k rupiah (weekday) which if you make comoarison,can consider Da Vienna's junior suite which is 600k plus rupiah.

They were my own perspective after seeing their room. Do note that i have not stayed in Hana Hotel before,but a few friends did and i have seen their rooms. Do note too that i have not stayed in City Central's most basic room before and again,few friends did. I stayed in their best room tho,hehehe...

Anyone tried taking bus to hang nadim airport before?

Learn from your friends who are with you. Take small step a time, get the basic right and once you can find what you are looking for in Batam and getting yourself adjust to the indos ways of of doing things (and culture) in their country. Future trips to Batam will be like a walk in the park. Keep expectation low tho.

Hi blackpage. Im sorry if im kinda annoyed you. I have read the guide. And the problem that im facing is im really shy and nervous of going to the booking joints. Is there anyway for me to get a girl for overnight without going to their booking joints. And i dont get what you mean about bringing freelance for overnight. Really need help.

Go Geylang and see fish tank , sort of similar experience except there's no Papi/Mami there to break the ice and reduce the awkwardness. It's nearer don't need to travel to Batam. Can help you overcome the barriers.

Im lucky....i heard there are some cases they chick steal money, drugged you, collaborate w bf to scam n extort money....even tip off gongan to extort money....
N you cant do anything.....there is no traceability.

But seemed like in batam.....yet to see.

update on mine favorite moonlight they change the menu to vip or suites room .It means higher charge no standard room (partition) 60k/hr .
In the end i didn't enter to find my (girl), but i still met her at other massage shop.
seem that moonlight will be strike out from my massage lists. :o

They were my own perspective after seeing their room. Do note that i have not stayed in Hana Hotel before,but a few friends did and i have seen their rooms. Do note too that i have not stayed in City Central's most basic room before and again,few friends did. I stayed in their best room tho,hehehe...

Hehehe...ok,ok...i am just pulling your leg by deliberately mis-reading whats written on your FR,hehehe...sorry,no offense intended. I guess you are saying you made your trip on the 25th March 2016 instead. I have the tendency to read back previous good FRs shared by good bros in the forum. And i read them quite a few times too.

Those dates you visited Batam,i have many friends heading to Batam too,hence i have a lot to read after that Good Friday super long weekends.

First time going on an public holiday/long weekend , definitely don't like the crowd , pretty hard to chiong.

For every problem encounter,there should at most time a solution,hehehe...even tho i do claim to have an almost functional solution in your situation,i will still try to avoid public holidays that are linked with a weekend. Yes,even when i dont work on weekends and public holidays,i still try my best to visit Batam on weekdays,non-holiday season.

Started the day by taking Majestic Ferry and encountered delay due to ferry broke down , delayed by another 40mins. Reached Batam Center at 12pm. Big long queues at the custom. Mood slowly changing due to having headache.

The thing i do not like about any of my Batam trip is the start up part at the trip. If beginning dont go smoothly,it can really affect my mood.

Hit the road after meeting up with my driver , directly to the joints just to try if the cewek I book last trip was still available. First joint was Bunga definitely , saw her the moment I entered , happy for a moment and the next moment she approached me with a sad face clinging to my arm then I was told by mami she's booked 5mins ago. Took her wechat and walked out with disappointment.

Next up was MM/Indah2 , totally no stock , 4-5 Milfs. Papi said public hols the better lots was already booked very early.

Then lastly New Berry , quality subpar , I chose mine there , 21YO SYT which one of my acquaintance booked before previously(did not realized until I fetch her and looked up close and she recognized us, super awkward moment for me)

Skipped Goldbird this time round after so many disappointments going there.

The result of arriving at a not-so-good timing.And i blame your ferry delay for that tho.

Bunga has the best variety out of the 4 we went. One common thing for all joints on that day was huge price hikes , Papi/Mami casually speaks with 1.5-1.6 Juta for SYTs.(Peak period)

Bunga is the most expensive booking joint in Batam. In my last Batam trip on March 2016,nearly all the other booking joints i went to were comparing their price with Bunga...the OKTs tell me,"For my standard of girls,you will have to pay at least 1.5 milion rupiah to 1.8 rupiah in Bunga". I replied,"their girls all service top notch (plus other things),but can you guarantee the same?",hehehe....i'm just bluffing them by the way.

Whenever the OKTs in any joints try to make comaprison,i will make comparison too. Erm...apple to apple,from the tree.

Very unlikely to go back again until changes are made. Not recommended for the time being given benefits of doubt of being new.

I was actually looking forward to your review on L-Hotel but it looks like a not-so-good one. Maybe becos i already got put off by their in-room mirror during the beginning and there was some biase to that hotel,hence i kind of expecting the hotel you stayed in wont be much good. Still ,i thank you for taking your precious time to try this new hotel and reviewing it so that others like myself can have a clearer picture of a new place to stay in Batam.

-Booked 2 junior suite online and only got 1 , lan lan bo bian 1 of us has to take deluxe room. Deluxe = RP420k , JSuite = 580k , Deposit = 200k

This is something i dont like most when checking into hotels.If it happens to me,it can sometime spoil my entire day.

-Receptionist were quite green and poor in english , thankfully one of them can speak mandarin.

I think this happens to every new hotel in Batam,hehehe...i always aim for the bell boy in all new hotels. Becos most time i notice that they are the "magicians" in Batam hotels.

-Has to pay upfront and place deposit upon checking in(counter was choked with people waiting to check in)

Again,due to inexperience....give them some time,this problem will be resolved,hehehe...ok,some "time" could means about 3 to 6 months time,hehehe...

-Wifi was ok on ground level , 4th level suite has NO WIFI yet(thank god my girl has google translate) , 5th level deluxe room has very very weak signal.

Hmm...if they dont improve on this part,very soon they are even going to lose their existing customers (if there are) as wifi is pretty much an essential to every kind of tourist today.

-Lift is operated by room cards when going up to only your own room storey. Only 1 lift is available.

-Spa facilities operating (a piece of coupon issued upon checking in , unlimited access as long you're staying in the hotel , massage not available yet) Located at ground level , beside the lift. Went late and no time to try it out.

My friends told me the same,the Spa isnt fully open up for business yet. I am kind of looking forward to it being fully functional one day. Guess its gonna take about 3 to 4 months time.

Well....erm....same as my above comment on their new spa.

-Deluxe room has no safe box while the Junior suite has. Junior Suite is super spacious. They do provide 1 bathrobe thou , aircon was strong and then the huge Mirror beside the bed. Room feels and smells like Ikea.(wooden scent)

580k for the junior suite is of the almost same price as City Central (588k to be exact,for weekdays) but it comes with a bath robe. Arrg...the mirror...if only they took away that,i may consider staying in it.

-The bed was.....leveled by 4 weak legs and squeaking sound can be heard when bonking(dam annoying) due to the weak platforms shaking.

Uh oh...that didnt "sound" good. I hope you did some feedback to the reception on this part.

-Dirty paint marks can be seen on the window sides and the view was pretty bad(place was situated behind the main roads)

Reminds me of Gideon hotel,hehehe...when i open my window,i could walk over to the next building that was kind of looking like its under construction,hehehe...just hope you didnt smell anything not-so-nice when you open their window.

-Walking distance to tua peh kong temple/Windsor foodcourt.

Great location then. I guess this hotel will be good for those who are able to keep their heart and mind at peace,hehehe...just joking. If it is near to Tua Pek Kong and Windsor,which also means Permata Indah will just be nearby too. Good information shared.

Today,if you read the thread,shared some FRs and people knows you well enough. As long as the good bros here find you sharing the almost similar correct frequency with them ,almost every week also can have Batam trip.

In a way,taking each step a time,i have achieve part of what i wish to achieve in this forum. ;)

Too paiseh to feedback on the bed man haha , I think we were the only 2 guys that brought ceweks to the hotel on that particular day , the rest of the people were mostly groups of family.

:p We zhun zhun went to BOTH BCS and Nagoya mall to hunt for seats and dam must wait until 10pm for proper seats (not first 2 rows) , also got to try the famous curry rice similar to Singapore's scissors cut outside BCS Mall , I think it's called Kedai Kopi Harapan Baru. 30k for a plate of rice and a bottle of teh botol. Thanks for the tips will go HB mall for a walk next time.

My friend took a new girl from Bunga @ 1.5 juta that can't speak or understand much english plus he's quite reluctant to keep conversing using translator. The girl has an positive attitude , she's 19 and she looks alot like a Singaporean but probably she's still new thus lacking in the service department. She just gong gong slept throughout the whole night , while my friend is putting up his gentleman air and let her sleep (didn't take initiative to start) then sleep sleep sleep next moment it's already a new day. Only 1 bonk in this whole trip. Wasted money and time to join me in this trip.

Like your recent trip , chemistry between guy and cewek plays a big part , couldn't agree more. I treated my girl like my best girlfriend and in return she gave me a great night.(not in terms of money but gestures , I didn't shower her any gifts but I hand plucked all the prawns/bones that she ate , making sure she feels happy and comfortable together during my stay)

Then it's the expectations one should have when going to chiong , my friend is much older than me so it will be rude for me to convey this part to him and lecture him how to chiong.

I'm also going to be like you liao lah , every month plan a trip to go and relieve stress until someday when I encounter a bad experience that irks me from going back :p

Language-wise,one can always talk to the OKT...to see if the girl speaks certain language or if one has other "special" request. Works well 80% of the time. 1st trip good,doesnt always mean 2nd or following trips will be just as good,but what i know is when 1st trip is not good,usually next following trip will be better.

I boils it down to expectation and it will auto drop if i am face with a 1st not-so-good trip. But if the 1st trip was fantastically good,then the following one MAY most likely not be as good (unless one takes back the same girl) becos the expectation was already at an all time high on the 1st.

(Its actually a psychological factor. So i dont exactly brood over a fail Batam trip becos i know my next one will be better,hehehe...)

Another things is,lets not forget Batam girls usually need to go back to their kampung or somewhere else in 3 to 6 months time ;or since they were so good,they might be bought over by some rich bros as mistress,so if one choose to refuse to learn the trick to getting the "right" girl and constantly stick to the same girl,he will eventually have to face a "no-good-girls" exist in Batam situation and it will then be the end of his Batam trail.

I often hear one of my ex.collegues (60+ of age) whom i met during the beginning of my Batam trips says,"In my many years cheonging in Batam. Batam has no decently good girls,just simple cheap fuck,thats all.",hehehe... i didnt choose to correct him as it may seems impolite, as in his many years in Batam,he didnt know the way to walk from Formosa Hotel to Nagoya Hill Mall until i showed him.

I have been emphasizing on expectation all these while. It is kind of difficult to explain becos many will mixed lowering expectation with lowering requirement. I see many problems lying with the customers as much as the girls they had over my mere 2 years in Batam. One of my aim since nearly day 1 i wrote my Batam trip summary is to HAVE "a good time all the time" whenever i am in Batam (like most senior bros i saw and knew). And i dare say today,i "almost" always have a good time with my girls,hehehe...

I go with senior bros who has been in Batam over 10 years,i go with bros who just visited Batam for the 1st 1 or 2 times,i even joined bros who has been residing in Batam staying in Batam hotels for 29 days a month (there are actually quite a handful of them). Most if not all senior bros who has been in Batam for many years has no problem with practically ANY girls anywhere (they already knows what Batam has to offer,what they are after and the Batam culture). I envy them and i try to learn from them.

Some problem/s at most time lies mainly with the new boys. And i already listed their problem/s out in some of my summaries (including myself as a newbie). The 1st and foremost problem is their EXPECTATION. They expect Thailand kind of soapy massage,Philippines girl's GFE,Japanese girl's OWE,Vietnam's no-hand services,China girl's KC-power etc etc,hehehe...and that was ONLY their 1st or maybe even 2nd Batam trip.

Cant really blame them becos they are new,so they really didnt know what Batam has to offer. So my advise to them is to observe,get used to (or adjust to) the Batam cheonging culture,to see if they are suitable and to see if they can find what they are looking for...afterwhich,simply blend in and enjoy.

Bad experience,every country and everyone will surely have. How to overcome or prevent a bad experience is knowledge,hence i am always in search for solutions to problems. Me too. There are as much massage shops as hotels in Batam if not more ....
I often tell my friends,there are more massage shops in Batam than the amount of hotels there. And trying them out isnt really that expensive (as in massage hop).

Our definition of new places can be different.Where you have gone,i may not have go before and those i have gone to,you may not have go before. If we were one day fated to link up together,my plan will be i go to 1 place you go before (which i havent gone to),you go to one place i go before (which you havent gone to) and then one other place which both of us have not go before,hehehe...that way,we both covered 3 places. :D

Hehehe...like i said before,can anyone share a sea food restaurant that is cheap in Batam near to Nagoya area when they claim another is more expensive? And later there will be yet another person who will be claiming the sea food restaurant you claimed cheap is expensive.The cycle usually wont end. Suggest at least a solution to an issue encountered,not keep babbling on the same thing over and over again which at the end of the day benefits no one.

I dont take sea food,hence i arent quite bother by those sea food pricing nor plan to seek further on their pricing issue. From someone like me who dont take sea food,i patronized Wey Wey2,Golden Prawn,Harbour Bay sea food Restaurant,Windsor Food court's sea food shops etc with friends. Marine Live's bill in general is still the cheapest from my own personal perspective in comparison with those i been to. That is of course base on my limited Batam sea food experience since i cannot take most sea food in real life.

And if i think ALL sea food restaurants in Batam is more expensive than in those in Sillypore,i simply dont go to them. No harm dealt to me anyway,hehehe...

Note that my perspective on Marine Live is base very much on quite a few months ago. They may have increase their price and their cook may have change. Not too sure about it but i do know that my next favourite eatery would be Hai Ou,hehehe...just 1 very simple basic reason,at an off-peak dinner hour,i barely can get a table with chairs to sit down. (the timing i go to Hai Ou,if i were to go to other eateries,i get plenty of seats and I dont really like crowd)

My impression of Marine Live today ,base on what i read and experience is they MAY happen to have too high volume of business,to the extend that they closes on CNY eve,1st day,2nd day and even 3rd day.(i passed by there during those days) And from my limited knowledge of Batam,if a business entities in Batam has too good business,standard of service or its produce tends to drop and prices also tends to go up too. Likewise for Batam's massage shop too.Just observe (and look at) the Utama area of massage shops in the last few months having a price hike will do. Do you happen to notice a similarity? i leave it for you to think.

Meximo Wan Tan Mee has good business almost all the time too,but they have by far consistently cook their food well (at times standard will drop a little too, if its being cooked by the wifey,hehehe..) and remain open even for CNY eve,1st,2nd and 3rd day. What i seek for in Batam which will allow me some regular visit it were consistency of service and the product they produced ;and even more importantly,its sustainability of their business were not majorly base on advertising but more from the words of mouth. Common sense often tells me,good and cheap stuffs...in the long run surely will have good business.

I watch their site at least once a month. Think they might have some committed quota to hit for certain hotels that pay premium advertisement.

Nowaday,90% of the time if one goes to Gold Bird (aka Sedona),there are usually less than 10 girls available. Most of them were already pre-booked by others. Gold Bird is by far the only booking joint that has almost hit 100% in and 100% out for their girls. So end of the day,nearly all their girls will often be booked out,even for weekdays. But not all girls were taken upon payment,hehehe...so we can still get to see them before they left the joint to their customers.

Usually most girls in Gold Bird will cost between 700k to 1.2 million rupiah.And usually,going to Gold Bird w/o a taxi will give you about 100k off if YOU ask for it but it doesnt always work as this part also must see which OKT you talk to,hehehe...

June is fasting month not much girls around, most balik kampong (mostly do). Going to joints from the back end of the shops cos most joints are "close" from the front of it. Most eating place at shopping mall are all covered with a long cloth to block from people who is fasting to not look. Things that you can encounter during the fasting month. In Indonesia,quoting of the price & its final after-bargained price is entirely different.One will usually end with 40-50+% off if they bother to bargain. Fyi,A3,A5 & Nice Massage were sister shops.

Give them a "take it or leave it attitude", tell them nicely u went to next door massage shop yesterday which u get 100k hj & 200k fj. Be firm,high chance their price will auto-drop & it can easily comes down to 150k hj & 250k fj if u push a little further. If they don't drop then don't take their special. They will be more worried than you. You lose your 60k-70k/1hr-1.5hr massage entrance fee (u can still walk over to next door shop to try again),they lose 1 rotating queue to earn a customer willing to take up special service. And almost all the time,they only have 1 customer per rotating queue for 1 whole day.

It will be helpful if u could share which date that u found out A5 quoting 600k for fj & Tulip quoting 400k for the same.Maybe CNY period,due to high demand,the first quote might go higher.

To pay 200k for hj & 400k for fj behind Utama area,i think high class place like Altlanta spa,Octopuss spa & other hotel-base massage offers equal or if not better deals + they have quality massage. No need to go to those rundown Utama shop area. I see b4 in prev btm thread,those who are hard-hearted enuff can even get 100k hj & 250k fj in Altlanta spa.

with all respect to other batam experts in sbf, this post gets my vote for "best advice on specials pricing in batam massage shops".

First time going batam on a long weekend trip with 2 newbies. (Laurel and Hardy)

Departed Harborfront to Haborbay at 1150 and arrived on schedule. Batam Fast was only 50% capacity.
The great thing about it is you can smoke in the sundeck.

Cleared Indo custom in 10mins and bought our necessities at the convenience store and also changed our money at the money charger outside the terminal at 9500.

Next our booked ' unreliable' driver drove us to our hotel called GGi which is just across Harborbay. The hotel was $73 per night which is rather expensive.

Upon arrival we realised the rooms were not ready.. We were told to come back at 3pm to checkin..

So we hopped onto the car and headed to Meximo for wantan mee.

Laurel and Hardy were rather surprised that the noodles tasted so good and yet afforded. Laurel even commented he could retire in Batam.

Total cost of 3 bowl of noodles and 3 drinks were 62,000.

Next it was shopping time.
First stop, Permata. Stocks were low and I guess all booked for the long weekend.
Second stop, Happy 8. Greeted by the blackfaced mami and the stock were much better this time.
Girls were ranging from 1.2 - 1.5 juta...
Laurel picked one at 1.2 juta and Hardy at 1.3 juta.
Mami only allow to give Laurel a discount of 100,000.

Lastly, we headed for New Berry to find my regular cewek.
Upon arrival was told she had been booked by someone at 850,000. Her usual price was 600,000. Guess super long weekend, prices have increased.

Looking around, saw one that had eye comtact with me and booked her for 1.2 juta which I later regretted it big time.

Extracting another piece of information (from myself) from the old thread...which i may need in preparation of my coming trip. Bits and pieces are what i use to construct my trip plan.

I am suppose to return to Sillypore today,so i went to take the FREE breakfast provided by the hotel before walking over to New Berry to look see. Learned from them that the girl which i previously wish to book would be available today,hence i decide to extend another night in Batam. Not wanting to lose this opportunity to book back this girl again,i paid 1st and then i head to Kaha Travel to extend my room. When i was in Kaha,i checked the room prices for (note prices may sometime change from time to time) :

Next our booked ' unreliable' driver drove us to our hotel called GGi which is just across Harborbay. The hotel was $73 per night which is rather expensive.

Normally it wouldnt be that EX but due the fact i went on a super long weekend .. all available hotel prices have increased.

I once saw a group 4 to 5 young Sillypore ah bengs (with gold-dyed hair around 30 years old of age) 2 or 3 trips ago in Formosa playing and talking loudly just outside Formosa reception after they came back with their booking girls. Their few booking girls were just seated quietly outside the Vienna restaurant chairs smoking while these boys were playing and teasing each other like little children. Batam Center custom officers seems to be more stressed up (given the fact the volume of ferry passengers they need to handle were much more) when i make those comparison,hehehe...

Like in any country,most of the country's local demand sm form of respect to their local culture. Talking loud in public is definitely irritating to most.

In the old rooms of Formosa, there was a potentially very useful tree of variously shaped plugs at the bed side to recharge mobile phones, but also those plugs were not working in most cases :(

Mos if nt all rms in formosa aldy no longer has multi phone charger,they r being replaced by 2 usb wall port for guest to bring their own usb charging cable to charge their phone.

The difference with superior and deluxe and from size... 26sqm - 30 sqm...
But the junior suite to deluxe double is only a few dollars difference and I can't see much facilities differences.

Anyone stay there before knows what is the difference between normal deluxe, junior suite and deluxe double?

Hana not bad.....only room too small....n can hear neighboring room......n smoking can smell.

Honestly speaking,for 288k/338k/388k per night (weekday price),i think it is still worth a stay for the location (no hair dryer,no kettle,no fridge - only available in junior suite). If you want to try,better hurry,hehehe...cos after another year or so,i bet it will be a goner with the rate it is deteriorating.

There is but their special service price is on the high side.Hotel guest/s get free use of Spa facilities tho.Massage room also got safe box too. Hotel has lots of golfers and families. Golfers and families tends to pay higher price for special service behind those curtains,hehehe...and then comparing it with Sillypore pricing claiming it as "damn cheap" or "dirt cheap".

Kepril Mall Batam...hmm...heard of Nagoya Hill Mall,heard of BCS Mall,even heard of DC Mall too....this Kepril mall seems like not a very popular name for most new Batam visitors but its not a name that i have not heard before either....

I thought to go there just to have a look years ago, but then I gave up, because I lacked motivation to take a long ride by taxi or ojek. Why to go there, I asked myself?

To find something new to buy? NO, because there is nothing that is not sold at Nagoya Hill, or Top100, or Ramayana, or BCS...

To approach new girls? Maybe YES, because there are virtually no tourists at Kepri Mall, and even less bule (zero), so I would stand out, but actually NO because 99% locals are really not interested to flirt with a foreigner, and those ladies who are interested to flirt do take an ojek and go where foreigners are (Nagoya Hill for shopping, Kampung Bule for partying).

I also look at the photo of the inside sell area. So lonely... Sad.

You need to look for those that carries the CaseTrust logo. Certified by Case, sure service good good and won't chut pattern one.

1. Sederhana Nasi Padang - Best of all the Sederhana in Batam as this is where the central kitchen is located. Best dishes include sapi cincang (beef cubes in curry gravy), ayam gulai, kentang balado with telur puyuh, etc

2. Vegas (or LV?) Cafe - Decent steaks/western food genre at very decent prices. Their chicken cordon bleu is worth a special mention; pretty good and I think it's only like 40k rupiah... Sorry, I can't remember the exact price but it's cheap.

3. Canton Duck (aka Grand Duck) - same as the Grand Duck in Nagoya Hill

Other restaurants there include Kangen Cafe, Godiva, KFC, Hong Kong Town, etc

Panbil Mall can be reached by public transportation such as taxis. Buses traveled approximately 7 minutes from the Port of Batam Center,it will be 20 minutes from Hang Nadim Airport and 15 minutes from Nagoya (to reach there).

Honestly speaking,for 288k/338k/388k per night (weekday price),i think it is still worth a stay for the location (no hair dryer,no kettle,no fridge - only available in junior suite). If you want to try,better hurry,hehehe...cos after another year or so,i bet it will be a goner with the rate it is deteriorating.

I think Hana fares a bit better.....hehehe.

The toilet in Gideon Hotel room give out a bad pungent smell especially 2nd & 3rd floor due to non-clearing of choked stagnant sewer. If you are staying in Gideon, ask for 5th or 6th floor. I am not sure about 4th floor now. Last time, one over year ago, 4th floor don't have smell but now maybe or maybe not.

As for Goodway, I have no idea as I have not stay there before.

Under normal circumstances,i will also wait for the massage lady to initial the special service 1st...it is still fine for me even if they dont cos there are plenty of massage shops within stone/s throw away in Batam.(very much more massage shops than hotels in Batam) Even if massage girl dont lower the price,there will always be plenty of other PRETTIER girls who will and there is a high possibility that they were just at the next shop (same shop also possible),hehehe...ultimately,its their lose,not mine.

Special service is about happy giver,willing taker kind of thing. I dont know about others,but so far for myself,i find that the LOWER the price for special,the better the service standard,hehehe...it could be becos the girls i took were trying to gain a regular customer base (i mean since i am always 1st time in Batam,hehehe...).

Why is it the lower the price,the better the service standard?

One simple example :

If i bargain to 100k HJ and she agreed. During the process of the deal,i will ask for VAS (value added service) and/or any kind of service i have fetish on,which will usually cost a gradual top up of 50k or so. So in other word,no VAS if one already paid 200k for HJ,then he can almost forget about anything exotically extra from the deal since the girl already got the targeted amount she ultimately want. (or if she is didnt and/or is greedy,then get ready to be chop till whole body blood,hehehe...)

In other word,it is not impossible to get a bbbj for 150k from Batam's bbbj-conservative girls,hehehe...and with the exact same concept from the above example,150k fj is also entirely possible (not common tho). ;)

Conclusion : i am still learning and what i have said above,i have done it before,but the fact is it doesnt work ALL THE TIME keeps me from sharing in details. And i am looking today to help myself making it work all the time. But the very beginning step HAVE TO start with bargaining to the lowest price 1st (i try my best).

I was looking at gideon because junior suite is $52 plus tax end up $64 and ibaloi is $74 so end up about $90. If the kisok sell voucher for $70+ meaning only top up $10... why not!

Quite good location. Room is very spacious. I book the 380k room. 2nd floor....can use staircase. Hardworking lobby security guard.
However, there seemed to be some party going on at night so can hear disco......
Only thing i dun like is the wooden floor which i find dusty n not mop clean enough.
They got a chinese lady recep who speaks good english n chinese.
Think she is msian.
Bf wise....quite good spread....voucher for 2....the attendent will collect the voucher b4 letting you in.
In front across the canal should be happy 8.
Hotel back walk a bit is nagoya citywalk.

Besides opposite orientations, and incompatible ways to enjoy the night, we live also on different time zones, with few hours of overlap. If you refer to the SYT working at some joint like Indah2 or MM, who I met at Newton after she ran away from the customer who paid the full rate for overnight, yes she was not expensive (500k) and she was very pretty and young, but she was not a memorable experience. Not an "almost virgin", not a porn star. Just a good one. She remained with me till morning, if I do not remember wrong now. (I should find and read my old report).

But if the making a choice between the 2 hotels comes in my shoe,staying in any of them is no longer a question if i already have an unreliable taxi driver. I can even stay as far as KTM Resort which is at Sekupang area,hehehe...

Reached Batam @10am Batam Centre, took Majestic Ferry, (of all the ferry going and return to Batam-SG.. Majestic seems less crowded compare to batamfast and sindo ferry). I usually buy my majestic tickets at the tour and travel agency shop near their POS Indonesia (post-office). Cost me 290k ($29) all in. Can get tickets from moneychanger there too at 300k-330k (sindo, majestic, batamfast). Saves more than $10 compare to if you buy over the counter in SG. I prefer the comfort of horizon ferry and harborbay, but since my house is nearby to batam centre, I have to alight and depart there.

Took an ojek from batam centre to DC mall area to change some $. Rate is 9670. Walk over to Hallo kitty to look for my previous girl (the counter girl told me she's hot working due to illness) damn my luck. Walk over to beauty2 massage, once again counter told me the girl that I want haven't reach work yet (grr). So I ask for the album and pick a new girl

Cleared Indo custom in 10mins and bought our necessities at the convenience store and also changed our money at the money charger outside the terminal at 9500.

Next time if you die die wish to change from Harbour Bay which usually offers the worst rate in Batam,look for Harbour Mart. If you can find a Chinese young man in the shop,check with him for SGD to IDR rate.(he will usually ask you how much you want,hehehe...or how much other shops offer) Tell him the price quoted to you beside Harbour Mart 's money changer,he will usually beat their rate.

3 person go Batam, each person change around S$250,can numbers up to S$750 anytime. With S$750,you are in a position to get a good price.

Just a note on this part.

Next our booked ' unreliable' driver drove us to our hotel called GGi which is just across Harborbay. The hotel was $73 per night which is rather expensive.

Yea,S$73 is a bit on the expensive side. Always check the hotel pricing around online sites and make comparison.

Upon arrival we realised the rooms were not ready.. We were told to come back at 3pm to checkin..

3pm? Oh...that didnt sound very nice to me from the hotel side. Dont tell me even one room also not ready? (since you guys must have booked 3 rooms) The receptionist should at least give you guys one room for you all to put your personal belonging 1st.

Look like this hotel is off limit for me.

So we hopped onto the car and headed to Meximo for wantan mee.

Laurel and Hardy were rather surprised that the noodles tasted so good and yet afforded. Laurel even commented he could retire in Batam.

Total cost of 3 bowl of noodles and 3 drinks were 62,000.

Hehehe...hardworking family doing simple business for a living.

Next it was shopping time.
First stop, Permata. Stocks were low and I guess all booked for the long weekend.

Ermm..Permata Indah opens 1pm...and sometimes even at 1pm,they dont have full force until 1.30pm (indo time).

Second stop, Happy 8. Greeted by the blackfaced mami and the stock were much better this time.
Girls were ranging from 1.2 - 1.5 juta...
Laurel picked one at 1.2 juta and Hardy at 1.3 juta.
Mami only allow to give Laurel a discount of 100,000.

Right time,right places.

Lastly, we headed for New Berry to find my regular cewek.

After all the shopping ( 1 from NB and 2 from Happy)were done, we headed back to Ggi to checkin. It was around 330pm.
Upon arrival , receptionist told us only 1 room was available.
OMG.. 4 star hotel with super late checkin.
No choice, Laurel and Hardy put their belongings into my room while we chit chat and wait for the gals to come at 430pm.

Fast forward, 4pm. Still no news about the availability of 2 other rooms. This time, i have a strong feeling that it is gonna be a bad trip as things are not going too well.
Stormed down with L&H to the reception to ask for the rooms. Told the receptionist that we saw many rooms were cleaned and available becos on the the way down, passed by some rooms and saw the room attendants just sitting and playing with their handphones in the cleaned room.
No wonder no rooms are available as the front desk was not notifiied.

To cut the story short.. L&H only managed to get their rooms at 430pm while gals arrived on time at 4pm

It was OTOT all the way till diner time at 7pm.

My gal N2 from NB was a petite, quiet and A cup gal.

Ordered 1 jug of Carlsberg which came to 325,000.
Its overpriced but I just wanted L&H to experience Batam nightlife without travelled too far.

Nothing special abt the club as it was too early and there were only 30 people including us. Music was Hip Hop.
Finished our beer in 1 hour and headed back to our respective rooms for OTOT.

And my nightmare continues..

First time I see you overestimating fees LOL:p

For a short-distance taxi ride (Nagoya, Jodoh, Harbour Bay), yes you're right the standard fee is 50k, but negotiable down by hard bargainers (do you know any? :p) to 40k or less (in HB, they pay the entrance fee).

For the ojek, the standard fare for a short-distance ride (Nagoya, Jodoh,...) is 10k. I suggest to pay 15k to be not stingy with a poor worker. 30k for Formosa-A2-Formosa could be ok. I mostly pay 15k for a single ride. 20k could be given at night or if one wants to be very generous. 30k for a single ojek ride is too much.

My benchmark which i learn from the previous Batam Info thread is 100k HJ,200k FJ...and will always starts from that amount 1st,regardless of the type of massage places and if the girls were SYT or not. It doesnt matter.

1. I always tell them,"i 1st time come Batam,my friends tell me 100k hj and 200k fj....",hehehe...

2. At times,i will tell the massage girl,"I already have a booking girl in my hotel room,so i dont have to take special service...i am ONLY here for the massage,to relax",hehehe...

One of my most common words use, thats to drop Expectation by at least half.

Now,lets take a 2nd look at the above advises. What do you see in common on their advise? I see bro SibeiNew and bro PigletDiDi uses the same words,"Treating their booking girl like their friends". And i am almost sure bro Blackpage does the almost similar for his non-booking girl/s too. Please remember,the girl you took is going to accompany you for many hours to come (usually more than half a day),the key is ,a willing and happy service provider definitely more than willing provides better service happily,right? Hehehe...

1. In the beginning,it would have to 1st start with how you would pick your girl. And you will find what i am about to say is almost the same as what i will do on how i would pick my girl :

I picked girl/s from booking joint that SHOWS INTEREST in me. I dont say i pick my girl base on their looks or their figures,i dont say i pick my girl base on their pricing,i dont say i pick my girl base on how many HP (handphones) they carried with them while they are in the fish tank.
