So many good food places in Biz Hotel area. Not forgetting the Swee curry puff shop just beside Biz Hotel. Only 3k rupiah each,hehehe...

Inside Nagoya City Walk,there will be Bento tei,Duck King ,Mr Pancake etc...not forgetting there's a new vegetarian food court,Baba street food court etc...wow! Thats not all, I think this building alone has so many food eateries all together...most of which were mid range in pricing tho. Thats why sometime i choose to eat mid range food but at a lower price.

Biz hotel's spa can do in room massage full service available.

The in-room massage from within Biz hotel would cost 2 to 3 times more on an per hour massage as compared to Kings at Formosa hotel.Meaning before any special service cost added,upfront entry is around 200k to 300k rupiah,hehehe...i will give it a miss tho. Its called Blue Bayou Spa and Massage tho,hehehe...

And to get the girls from Utama stretch of massage shop to a Biz hotel room, either he will need to go to the hotel reception to inform the staffs that he is expecting someone or he will need to come down from his room to pick up his massage girl from the lobby. Biz hotel lifts elevator needs room key to get up to the room. Price also doubled if girls from Utama area goes to his room too.

* i forget to add,to get to the higher floors, the girls can also take the stairs bypassing the elevator too,but well,most time most guest/s will be staying at least above the 3rd storey,hehehe...i think highest floor for Biz is 8,or was it 9th?

Firstly, many thanks to the few frequent SBF Btm tread contributors (I think we all know who they're right) for offering such useful tips which made my just completed weekend Btm trip wonderful.

What I’ve learned from this trip was Formosa Hotel is quite a good choice mainly due to its strategic location. Walking distance to a few famous eateries for eg. Kedai Kopi Medan (CKT, Nasi Lemak, Soto & Lontong), Kedai Kopi Sudi Mampir (Sop Ikan Hokkian & Seafood Kari Mee) and Kedai Kopi Harum Manis (Mie Lendir). From this location, one can even walk around the nagoya commercial district. Here, there are 2 morning markets, one operated by mainly chinese traders (Pasar Pujabahari) and the other one operated by mostly malay traders (along the Avava Mall road)

And, the pinnacle of my trip was that amazing 2 days "pijat ++" session I had in King Massage @ 4th Floor Formosa Hotel. Here are the highlights:-

1. Quantity of masseurs: I did not actually count them but I think it's btw 15-20 after I flipped the Foto Album from start to end. IMHO, there are around 8-10 chio ones which I guess their age should be 25 y.o. or less. But, there is this really young looking cutie (seems like fresh from school) and my guess is her age should be 19. The oldest masseur in that album is a 50s auntie manning the front counter (supervisor level I guess), and she's really polite and friendly. And, if any bros have a fetish for “specky college girl looks”, there was one who walked passed me. In the album you won’t find any masseur wearing glasses, hence, I advise you to tell the auntie “mau yang pakai kaca mata”.

2. King Massage Operation Time: 9 am till 1 am (next day). Auntie told me they have 2 shifts. 2nd Shift starts at 3 pm. I came around 3.30 pm for both days.

3. Masseur details: name: Ms K, no: 1x, age: 25, height: slightly over 5 feet, skin color: fair skin malay (but not like bandung or chinese cewek fair skin), from: Sumatera, status: single and never gave birth before, body shape: curvy on all the assets which I liked it so much. She’s as pretty as she looks in the album.

4. Performance:-
Massage: Her massage skills not bad
FK: Not Allowed, only light kiss can
Painting: Not Allowed (she said can’t tahan esp near “gua musang” area coz water will splash out)

Why not compare? I cheong both island. So to me i dont mind pay slightly more in batam because the cost of living there is higher than balai. Of course it also depend on the girls age, looks etc. to arrive on the price of 400k. So its mutual between client and his girls. Like you said its definitely cheaper than 1mil. ThanksWill stay at Hotel 89 which is also quite near to Hotel Baloi and BCS and there is a spa in the hotel itself on the 3rd level,and just behind the hotel there is a Thai spa and if u walk straight up along the shophouses there are a couple of other spas there,but better to avoid weekends as mostly crowded with bookings from tour group.

I think that hotel is more a business hotel nearer to Batam Center than to Nagoya area. Not so suitable for people who wish to cheong.

Go anywhere also need to use taxi or ojek,waste time waste money on a certain sense. Not cheap to stay a night there too,hehehe...when traveling,i hope to have most cheong places or at least i think what i wish to find in Batam nearer to where i "camp in". Not too far away and then waste time and money to get there.

There are a handful of other new hotels in Batam,even in the Nagoya area too,but none could catch my attention yet,hehehe...

After a vey hectic day, ginally checked into biz hotel.

Flight got delayed by 2 hours csusing me to miss most ferry ended up taking the last MK ferry from tanah merah to batam center...

Ordered uber didnt come wauted for 20 mins then got a local cab for 45k.
Its 10pm and really buggered. Thinking of ordering an in house massage cant be bothered lookking for a booking girl unless bro have any suggestions near here at this time.

Formosa may nt b an all good hotel,but it does help me save in sm way,my needs to use lesser taxi rides. Behind Formosa is also happy 8,whereby you can go there to select a girl to come to your room for massage tho. ;)

Its also a hotel that helps with most "all else fail" situation,hehehe...

If you take up the free membership at the reception,you saved another 10% of the 200k rupiah,which is 20k x 2 in your case. Every time you give a girl extra out of the blue,they have the tendency to remember you better. The extra saved 40k amount could make a girl remember me after a few months later,so why not? I am sure everyone knows,its pretty common for service industry workers to provide better services with familiar customer.

In Batam,you can try this Harbour Hotel. Massage per hour only a little bit more expensive than Kings (about 120k to 140k per hour). But if called to your room...hehehe...the rest will need to bargain down tho,but 350k is not impossible. ;)

Lai Lai could be another one too,but that one i have got no reviews yet.

I am still looking at hotels with in-house MP that provide about 100k/hour massage services tho. Special service at around 150k HJ and 300k to 350k fj inside hotel's MP would be quite hard to find. Having both elements of "costings" together (low per hour massage + lower special service price) would be practically none,or at least not that i know of.

Correct me if i am not right. :D

Bookking joint should start at 600k .... but unfortunately apart from some old joints that certain someone wouldnt tell me abt the min at most joint is 800k... unless the girls got grat service or is a virgin... 1.5 juta is just stupid. Okay as you guys know i have been staying at Biz Hotel for this trip and i thought id give my point of view of this hitel... so here goes my FR

Biz Hotel 8/10

Location is great. 5 mins walk to atleast 4 booking joints and 3 KTV.

Inhouse massage & FJ .. poor. The girl who picks up the spa phone doesnt speak english. Their brochure says you can get membership but spa says there is none.

Breakfast. Its okay nothing special. 6-7 choices + egg station + cereals + few type of sweet.

Wifi: temperamental... with full signals sometimes it works sometimes it too slow.

Roof : has a very small pool & bar

Things that i really liked:
My floors room service guy very good.
Security is excellent. Girls are accompanied by bell boys and any men by the hotels security guard. (So if u want to experiment with wechat this might be a good place to stay)
No problems with having multiple girls overnight. If have a steady stream coming through and no issues.
Room Size and 2 x windows (corner room)
Price point is good.


Hotel front desk staff are nice and friendly, the day time security guard is really nice as well.

Things i dont like:
No in room information about the roof bar and any other hotel facilities. (Has a tv channel info)
Food Service in room very limited.
Hallway is not airconditiioned .. i actually am partial about this. Sometimes i walk out here for a smoke and change from my icycold room.

you need to be back to JB by 1.30pm?.
So, how many hours you would be there ?. bear in mind, JB time zone and Batam time zone is 1 hour different. It means, 1.30pm in JB is equivalent to 12:30 PM in Batam. assuming you need 1 hour to travel from Batam to JB,, so, 11am+ you have to depart Batam. not to mention travel time (on land) to reach ferry station.

From JB, better to travel by Puteri Harbour.
You will reach HarbourBay batam. Nearer to Joints instead of batam centre.
Travelling time is 2hours to reach batam. Almost the same fron Setulang Laut.

The stall isnt discovered by me,i only elaborate it due to it being cheap and taste good. If i dont remember wrong ,it was original discovered by both bro Nescafe and bro Hawkeye. Bro Newyorker discovered the epok epok stall at Astro Hotel,Astro food court (which is very good too).

certain product is not allowed. Egg is one of them. Fresh meat is another one. You can go to ICA website, it will explain what is allowed and what is not allowed. Also, depending on which checkpoint. for example, if you arrive via Changi, there is a free duty for alcohol. But if you arrive via Woodland checkpoint or Tuas Checkpoint, there is no duty free for alcohol. You MUST DECLARE. Even Shandy is not allowed.

I asked becos i read somewhere before that hotly cooked foods cannot be brought thru immigration point. I think it was the same time i read about things like Sea Horse cannot be brought in (to singapore) unless a certain license is approved from the authorities. Things like layer cakes can be brought in but well...hehehe...i was just hope to be sure. Hmm...since its not a major issue (at most just lost 30k rupiah),...hehehe...its gonna be fun in my next trip. :D

There are 2 favors,the Chicken or Sardine favor. I didnt believe it was nice becos i dont like the thick skinned curry puff but after trying it,its becoming a must-eat for me in Batam,hehehe...

Indeed, I take FRESH FRUIT with me, not alcohol or Indonesian meat. Actually, also importing fruit in some cases may be not allowed, because of possible desease spreading.
Officers at X-Ray machines look especially for tobacco and alcohol, so luckily they don't care if I have 10 kg of papayas, mangos and manggis in my luggage.
To be honest, years ago I brought also one big durian with me. That durian travelled packed with my dirty clothes in a backpack all the way from my room in Formosa, to Harbour Bay, to Harbour Front, then 1 hour in MRT, then to Changi, then shipped with checked luggage all the way to my home in Europe.
I am happy I was not caught in the MRT with it. I won't repeat.

If that’s the case, I would suggest that u stay in Batam City Hotel (BCH) instead of BCC Hotel. BCH is also in the BCS area, a stone’s throw from A2 foodcourt. Within the hotel is New Spa with massage+HJ packaged in. I’m sure can arrange to send the masseuse up to the guest room.

Actually there's a spa in the hotel .You can book them to your room with extra charge. The girls there have extra services too. Think it's around 200+k for massage.

True,but the more popular ones were however the regular Sillypore pool lottery of 4 digits. i have heard of the draws on their 2k rupiah betting for some time but to date,i do not know how's their winning pay out would be like tho,hehehe...any idea?

But if there's a chance to get a lower hotel taxi charges or maybe even similar pricing (compared with off-street hiring),i will have the best of both world. Both in safety and in price.

Something that i have been working on. But so far,it mainly works for myself and my small group of friends,and not on the majority.

How i travel in Batam today is by contacting the hotel i book my room with to pick me up and send me back after my trip. I paid nothing for that (when i run solo,but my friends paid 50k rupiah 2 way). I remember there was once when i need to go to Nagoya Hill Mall from Formosa and becos its raining heavily,i have to hire a taxi. At least the hotel is charging me 40k rupiah,unlike the private negotiating with the taxi driver outside charging me at 50k rupiah,hehehe... (40k rupiah is still expensive tho)

Well,its afterall raining heavily that day and i dont wish to use up my per year free shuttle rides for such short distance travel,so my only option then is to pay up the 40k rupiah (their locals only pay 30k to 35k rupiah).
