Long time didn't visit Batam and all of a sudden pay a visit there,almost sure to overspent since your visit was in one of Batam's most peaked season of the year. Its afterall CNY...right? :D

1. Exchange rates were having a super downtime

2. Girls were so overly-fed and weren't hungry enough to serve

3. Competition from Sillypore's foreign workers who are so desperately wanting to splurge w/o using some minimum intelligence.

4. More unhappy girls due to 1 Sillyporean/Malaysian versus 9 FWs scenario.

5. OKT knives were sharpened to its sharpest, so sharp that when a piece of silk falls on its cutting edge,it auto gets cut into 2 pieces... some even use a chainsaw...hehehe...

6. Ferry prices up

From sekupang terminal, 1st money changer (beside bag check) since queue is too long Cudnt be bothered to ask the rate. 2nd money changer rate is 9400, right away recognize and ask me where have I been, told her I lewat batam centre during imlek week, LOL. Took a taxi and go straight to hotel Utama (my 1st time) very impressed. Gonna try the KTV club next time I'm here again (next week)

I was told it was opened at about, say around 330pm Singapore time tho. Maybe its their 1st day,they only open for a few hours like many other Chinese shops did during CNY (a Chinese culture during CNY). ;)

The 2 Fat girls shop started somewhere on the 2nd half of 2014. During their 1st CNY in 2015,they were opened for business thru out the entire CNY from eve till the 15th day (no off days). They worked hard,business manage to catch up and in CNY 2016 eve and 1st day,they were off but opened only during 2nd day for only half a day and then all the way thru the other days. Exchange rate were just as bad as this year CNY 1st few days tho.

(Bro S changed a better rate in Sillypore (Arcade) than me,thats where i learned not to change all my S$ in Batam this CNY 2017)

Their business were now stabilized,and one of their indo staff recently gave birth and went on maternity leaves. So this year ,also being short-handed they all went on long leaves,hehehe...my thoughts are, will they do the same for CNY 2018? This, i will have to wait and see. :D

Linda Massage lady boss shop? Ever since CNY 2014,she has always been opened for business (she's in business before i even been in Batam). And she offered better rate than Hai Hai every CNY year over the last 4,as far as i have known (that woman is really a workaholic). Unless really Urgently Necessary,Hai Hai money changer is much often the last money changer shop i would want to do business with,even if it means only S$250...hehehe...

This year CNY 2017,i learned something new. On the 4th or 5th CNY day onward,ferry terminals appear to be offering a little better rate than in the Batam city area.

I travel,i test,i try,i dug in,i learned and then i record.

I did see the shuttles half opened. The money changer side closed, the table side (right side) opened. And no staff around. And at that time, only the shop on the right is open, so I just change there. Anyway, I'm not changing big amount. Difference just 25k. Just here to chill out before difficult next week.

Time truly flies and 2016 is gone in a blink of an eye and it is now 2017. Another time of the year where I start to re-pack my 2016 summaries and put them all inside one single post for better later referencing. And I am also reading back what I have done over my year 2016 in Batam. If you guys have been with me,be it joining me ,linking up with me or simply just reading up my summaries, you are in one way or another growing with me, in Batam.

Believe it or not,in my summaries,there are good and bad times but when I read back,i begin to realize that I mainly remembers the good and the bad remains little in my thoughts. For the good,i will just wish to made it better and for the bad ones,i will try my best to learn from it,and not to repeat.

The key to prepare for CNY 2016 on Feb. Everything needs to be prepared in advance,from booking of hotel room to ferry tickets from Horizon Ferry. My 1st time to Botak Cun eating the well-known best noodles i have ate in Batam. Not an easy place to reach and i need to be brought there by bro Micmac.

It is also the 1st time i get to bonk an Indo Chinese,hehehe...or should i say it is my 1st bonk with a pure breed Indo Chinese from Kalimatan (hp and perfume shop indo Chinese no count,hehehe...becos it is not everyone could get type of situation).

I go Batam preparing for their ,busiest ,crowdest and most expensive time of the year.

Its CNY 2016. My 2nd CNY trip to Batam. The crowd that are in Batam like the last year,was the biggest i have ever seen (yes, more pack than X'mas & new year day). I took a night ferry there,my friend pick me up from the harbour.

There are many variation of this lesson.

a) Keep an open mind

b) Do not look at things from appearance, as some time it wont turn out the way I expect it to be.

c) 换个立场想 - stand in another person viewpoint to look at a situation

d) As an individual, looking at things with my heart or with my eyes. Both ways of looking at things by a single person can be quite different..

CNY 2016 was not as pack as 2015,hehehe...quite a surprise for me. Maybe becos I learned my lessons during 2015? Hehehe...each CNY in Batam just got better and better over the years.

Its the Ramadan month,there are things to watch out for during Ramadan,Batam almost come to a stand still,girls were gradually becoming lesser starting from the beginning of Ramadan to the end of it. Booking any fairly above average hotel cost about S$50/night,Horizon ferry ticket cost about S$48 (including tax). And this is Swissbel Hotel,a 4 star Batam hotel. The one above don't exactly fits me tho,but the below one seems interesting,hehehe...at Montigo Resort (Montigo Resort rooms usually cost S$300+/night anytime and not easy to book). Its what caught my attention. :D

The above and below brochures were taken from Ministry of Education website. There's also a Bintan version of similar brochure too but well,it cost almost double compared to the Swissbel one, so....hehehe.... (I am not interested)

Guys, if u are near Batam Center, head to Pasir Putih Pasar.
Quite alot of nice foods there. Hinanese chicken rice $20k, Mee Siam, Orh Luar, Bakuteh, Hokkien Mee, wonton Mee, Quay Chap, etc. If I'm not wrong they sell pork stay too.
I wonder the food court(no aircon) is run by Sgean investors?

In 2015 and 2016 CNY,ferry was around 50%,on my way back to Sillypore,2017 has even lesser crowd on the ferry as compared to 2016. I don't visit places where terrorist is likely to attack,hehehe...2017 CNY is a lot quieter to me in many ways.

Base on my collected data base,booking girl can go as low as 250k to 280k rupiah (w/o taxi) during 2003/4. During then the exchange rate was somewhere 350000 to 450000/SGD.

Part of the collected data which I use as below :

Girls in Batam generally cost from 250-280K1(Street-wise Tip). The prices mentioned are not absolute but depend on a variety of factors such as day and time of booking, 'new' girl or 'standard' or 'left-overs'(poster: Rp250 all night. flat rate, taxi or not. ugly "like a dog's arse" so most likely she will be available.), after mid-night, familarity with the mamsan, taxi commission, etc. The prices quoted are what some posters paid.

Queen 8933: 270k for a booking and Rp100K for a short-time. Tip:There is a security guard at the front. Ask for Capri, who can guide you.

Crown Karoake: Rp270k-280k for a booking.

Dwi Crown at the Peniun Center:

Horison & Persona: (Poster: The short time rooms upstairs are the best in town). Rp120k.

Titanic KTV: Rp250K for a booking. 270k including driver commission.

Mutiara Pub and Lounge: Rp200K - 250k. It is next to Puri Garden Hotel. However, if you are a regular it is only 180k - 200k. Tip:I recommend that you look for `Aris' its bartender. A trustworthy boy, in his early 20's.2(Street-wise Tip).

Bovo KTV and Nite Club: Located in Jodoh, next to kentucky Fried Chicken and behind the Pelangi Hotel. Rp500K to Rp1Million. Chinese mami (speak hokkien/teochiew/english).

Rio Rita Pub and Lounge: Rp280k.

SenSaSi Pub and Lounge: Rp270k. The chinese mami (speak hokkien/teochew)

Hotel Formosa Karaoke.

Golden Star, Maxim (250,000 rupiah/booking), Memory (280,000 rupiah/booking)

Tampico Club at the Novotel hotel or the Tavern Club at the Melia hotel: With any luck you don't have to pay Rp500k. Best time is apparently around midnight.

Dico O-5 in Harmony Hotel. 20- 30 girls, most of them from Medan. You pay to Mami, Rp400K.

Rashinta hotel. 2 Karaoke lounges. The one close to the gym opens at 1:00 pm 20-30 girls at Rp300K.

If i am you,i will watch Journey to the West 2 (it might be screening for ONLY one midnight slot this weekend). But well,if given a chance,i will pick Kungfu Yoga,Monster truck and/or Resident Evil since Monkey King not screening as yet. Among Kungfu Yoga,Resident Evil and Monster Truck,...Kungfu Yoga is considered the better,2nd place goes to Resident Evil. Thats my own rating.

Hehehe...a comedy that dont make you at least laugh once,i have to name it as 'fail'. Then again,sometime expectation,understanding of the film direction and the producer's past film do play an important role too. We all tends to make comparison.

Stephen Chow's past newer films w/o him in it few years ago (eg,The Mermaid, Part 1 of the same film etc) was already a disappointment to me. I didnt bear much expectation on this one but i am looking more onto what i can learn from the film instead. A different kind of looking forward to things,i guess.

己所不欲,勿施于人 is one of the lesson i see in this movie. Meaning do unto others what you would do unto yourself but in my terms,it means 'do not do unto what i do not like others do unto myself'.

And there are this things about 'letting it go' in the movie. One will have to cling unto something before he/she can 'let it go'. 2 sides of the coins on this one. When i watch a movie, i also look at myself. Journey to the west story,can be like a journey in this thread (as well),where i write my summaries,it can also be my journey in real life.

Brief Trip FR

Reach Batam Centre via Majestic Ferry about 9pm. Booked a King sized bed room at Hotel Barelang. Room is big. About 1.5x the room of Formosa. It comes with fridge too. Paid $34 a night.

By the way, Majestic Ferry had a new route, from Tanah Merah to Batam Centre. Tickets purchased can be inter-used between HBF and TMFT.

Straight off, went for massage at Madurani Massage along the alley between Happy8 and New Berry. 80k for 1 hour plus 100k for hj. After massage, took an ojet to HarbourBay for movie. Had John Wick 2 and Journey to the West to choose from and I went for Journey to the West. Well, my view about the movie is written above, so won't touch on it again.

After movie, went to the roadside waring beside Goodway Hotel for dinner/supper. Fried rice petai plus ayam bakar plus Cole cost me less than 50k.

Hv you ever experience delay due to the arrival/departure of a cruise ship?
As the strait between sentosa and HBF is narrow. Whenever a cruise ship,(like star cruise) arriving or departing,
All traffic on the channel hv to give way.
That it worse during arrival, after the vessel arrive at the end of Keppel fairway, entering the channel, where the vessel need to be tug to longside.
And also if you arrive after the cruise passengers. Yes you hv no problems to clear immigration but you may need to spend some time at the custom scanner.

Yes,yes...limited landmines at Harbour Bay Mall (unless you shop at Harbour Bay Ferry terminal there) ,hehehe...one of the reason why I like that place. And also i think its the only theater with sweet box (couple seats), where lots of hanky panky ideas can be work out,hehehe...just in case the movies I pick were the boring ones. :D

Nowaday i rarely visit Nagoya Hill Mall or even BCS Mall unless i need to help friends buy something there. Or if i do visit,i go mainly during night time after 9pm Batam time. :D

When I am in my country, I starve and I keep on dreaming about spending whole days with my girls in Batam, like taking one or better two pretty girlfriends and spend with them a weekend away from Nagoya in a resort like Nongsa, rooms on the sea, beach, etc.

Since day 1 Horizon ferry started,they already dont accept card payment (cash only).

One thing good about this (for me) is that they accept online reservation w/o the need to make upfront payment 1st. So easier for group trip organizer like myself who often have to make ferry reservation for others,hehehe...i am saying what happen if those who says wish to join in my trip play 'fly aeroplane' when i already allocate a slot for them.

Not like i have not encounter such 'pilots' before,hehehe...so i do take precautions.

Only the Business class passenger at the upper-deck were provided drinking water,sweets,and wet tissues...sometime they even provide Batam Pos or Today newspaper too. But if i were to take the Business class,those free items wouldn't be my priority. I like the priority queue at the Batam custom side which allows me to by-pass all the people in queue.

Which is good for major holidays connected with long weekends.

There is another higher class seat called VIP class,it used to be S$50 and i get a room with 4 seats,so those who paid fo economic class (S$48 per ticket) can come out to be with me in my room,but they increased the price to S$50 for 2 seats somewhere last year.

It dont make anymore sense for me to get those seats thereafter.

And I save 2hrs of time.

There is however one setback,thats No Smoking thru out the ferry ride. Seen a few much older uncle got caught for smoking in the toilet before,must have been really shameful to get single out by the staffs on board the ferry. This is something they lose out to other ferry companies.

And there are definitely rooms for improvement (1 would be that they provide a smoking area,hehehe..).

Syt you have to be prepared for princess sickness. Plus they are not proactive in servicing. And might ask for going disco, getting high on drug etc. I don't have a favourite joint cos I always walked between joints, sometimes 7-8 joints, and I also take girls from places like WeChat, Morena etc. I prefer to go around and see if any girls Catches my eyes or not. But, I do tend to go for those in early 20s.

Shall do a fr of my 2D1N trip on 14/1 and 15/1. Originally it was supposed to be a 3D2N trip but due to urgent stuff can only go for 2D1N.

Thank you for sharing. If you are 1st time to Batam,2D1N is more onto testing water. 3D2N is more towards moving around more places and allowing some dwelling-in-place-you-like time.

Anyway took the 0940 ferry with one friend. Reached batam around 0930 indo time. Immigration was surprisingly quite fast on a sat and we were out by 1000. After coming out, straight walk to buy groceries from the mama shop in front of the arrival gate. Following that, we went to buy sim card which i felt was a mistake as i hardly use it as the wifi from formosa was good. Went to get the return ferry boarding pass at horizon too. After settling all the admin stuff, took a cab to formosa at 50K.

From arriving in Batam Harbour dock to exiting out of the custom exit using about 30 mins is 'not fast',hehehe...try weekdays the next time when you have a chance,and you will realize how things can be expedite. Its the reason why I use Horizon Fast ferry arriving to Harbour Bay. After trying,when you become more familiarize in Batam,do try coming from Batam Center Harbor...hehehe...you will feel the 'one earth one sky' in comparison, be it weekday or weekend.

If you still plan to stay in Formosa hotel again,email them to reserve your room and take up their FREE membership. If you are ALONE,ask for them to go Harbour bay (or any ferry terminal)to fetch you,if you are with friends,DON'T ever do that. You alone will cost 50k,to and fro. If you are with one friend,it will cost 100k,2 friends + you = 150k (not worth it). Free membership also gives you 10% off massage in Kings too (and most of every other things from the hotel).

Do not underestimate small demonination amount of money in Batam. It is usually the smaller spending that plays a key role for "overspending" when I am in Batam,hehehe...

Reached formosa hotel at 1045 and luckily we were allowed to early check in. The driver who brought us to the hotel suggested going to joints at 11.15 as he say the SYT And SSYT will still be avail. He mentioned that we only need to pay him another 50k for booking joints shopping, dinner that night and he will send us back to harbourbay the next day. So took up his offer. Met hiim again at 1115 for cewek shoppings. Visited happy 8, kupukupu, bunga, hawaii. Revisited happy 8 and bunga and picked a 20YO SSYT at 1.5juta from bunga. My friend pick a 1.3m juta from there too. Tried to bargain but mami say it's a sat so cant go lower??? In the end small head thinking and accepted it after seeing afew people in the joint. Ask her to send the girl at 1500 as i want to go kings for massage.

1. Just below Formosa Hotel, out of its glass entrance,turn left and turn left again,within the same hotel building,there is a grocery shop that sell nearly all basic things you need. Just for your info.

2. Bunga is one of Batam MOST expensive bookin joint from my own perspective. My theory is simple,600k to 700k girls can be found there at 1 million rupiah if not more (try asking for the price for their Biggest ,Fattest, Ugly girls there and you will understand my theory better). Always pick girls base on if they are interested in you there. Otherwise,drop the idea.

3. If you have 2 person booking from the same joint,higher chance can bring the price lower. All you need to do is pretend to walk out of the shop. Once outside the shop,i am sure mami will chase after you (otherwise,just have a smoke or some small talk there). If not,then try other shop.

(note: this reply is meant for you and not meant for others of similar case)

4. Your expectation seems high from this part of your FR.

Went back to hotel and straight up to kings. Looked through the album and picked a SYT and ask him to send to room half an hour later. Girl came she was 7.5/10. 19YO from Sumatra. Massage was okay and decent. Popped the GQ and said HJ 300k. She dun do FJ. Managed to nego to 200k with auto roaming.

Think made a mistake in allowing the driver to bring us to dinner place as the price was quite high imo.

400k for 5 pax and the price is high? Just curious what did you guys ate? Oh well,its restaurant at Harbour Bay...and with a taxi driver,i was kind of expecting a higher price.

Maybe my 'expectation' is too high,hehehe...

After dinner went back to hotel for round 2&3 before sleeping. Wanted to go for round 4 in the morning but girl said that mami imposed 3 shots limit. Hearing that i was abit dulan already. Said she can go as it was 0730 and tipped her 50k.

No matter how good and how pretty the girls were,most girls there has already grew 'strong horn' (very season old birdies) and there are reason/s why they are currently the most expensive. And the reason is definitely not becos they have some pretty faced girls; from my own perspective again.

Most of their girls who were there were NOT on contract and have been in Batam for at least a year (if not more). And their management style were ran differently from other booking joints. Even if one entire month less than 10 customer (each girl), the girls there also wont go hungry. The only joint I see in Batam that mami is more towards favoring the girls. Meaning the girls call more shots than the Mamis.

In Batam,if the girls aren't hungry enough, i expect the service level to drop. Worse,if they do not like you. Remember, paying higher do not equates to good service standard.

I am speaking base on my limited experience.

Slept till 10am before going for kings massage again. Picked a 21YO girl. Massage was decent and quoted 400HJ and 600FJ.. I was like WTF. Told her i left 150k in my wallet and she accepted reluctanly after much persuasion.

Good! You fail some,but you still did well in some. There will never be all good and no bad or all bad and no good.

The scenario of "you left 150k in your wallet" is similar to me asking you to "pretend to walk off" in a booking joint. You already know what to do from hereon,hehehe...

After massage washed up, checkout and went for lunch at hotel restaurant. Waited for driver to come at 1300 and back to sillypore.

Until you become more confident, try not to be too reliant on taxi driver. When you knew and can walk and run around batam on your own, most taxi drivers will be at your mercy,hehehe...most taxi drivers were the street-smart-directory of Batam, learn from them but don't let them rule over.

Overall, i think it was a good experience for my first trip to batam but know that i have made alot of mistakes and overspend as i need to go and changed another $70 from money changer. Hopefully wont commit the same mistake again for the next trip. Thanks to bros who left feedbacks before i embark on this trip and i appreciate them alot.

Nova & Cecil I have pre-book for my next trip. Went to Sri Kandy, and the green hair monster change to Grey hair monster now. I wouldn't dare say if the price you paid for the meal is expensive or cheap becos I wasn't physically there. But restaurants at harbor bay were known to cost more than most other street food stores. I mean I am comparing your meal with my last non-sea food meal at the same area which a friend of mine and his girl plus da bao-ing for the driver cost nearly 600k rupiah with all we ordered in smaller portion and only 5 dishes (and that's like about 2 years ago).

From my own perspective, your meal definitely cost lesser.(maybe their price drop? :D)

I usually don't compare food prices with Sillypore ones but more towards Malaysia and/or China becos anything compare with Sillypore sure to be cheap.

Speaking about my massage from kings, did you try that girl before hehehe. The one where you said she will give in to FJ if i go back on the third visit?

As far as I know,most massage girls in Kings like to 'hang up to sell' and nearly all of them like to compare themselves with overnight booking girls (many massage girls i know in Batam dont really look very up on overnight booking girls). I may not exactly know which girl you took, but your clue is pretty obvious...19 year old with 7.5 looks from Sumatra isn't really too hard to locate there,hehehe.... (never ever portrait your self to her that you are hungrier than her,hehehe...or you will be dead meat)

Once you build a good relationship with a certain girl,the girl is comfortable and when the amount is right, FJ is all possible (plus with lots of passion add-on). As far as I have known, there are no girl in Kings that don't do FJ except the part that they do not do FJ with every customer who ask for it ; especially since most weren't so hard up becos the hotel itself brings them good business during weekends and they usually have at least 2 to 3 customers per shift.

What I meant by "on your 3rd trip or more" is, you will need to play nice, invest some time (not money) to become a regular, then chances of a FJ might be on its way. Allow yourself 3 tries (maybe even 4),if still fail, then move on to the next girl. There is no such thing as always fail and no success in cheonging,hehehe...or always success and no fail. (i am not saying you cannot win on 2nd try tho)

110k per hour of massage session isn't too expensive to test water,right? (haven't add 10% discount yet) :D

Side note : I don't really care about the 10% or 15% off,but if those girls who are good and I gave them those 10%-15% extra i saved to the girls,they were always very happy. Now,add my theory above for a 1.5 hour or 2 hour massage,and then take out the 10% to 15%. And that is for 1 massage session in a hotel. ;)

Time truly flies and 2016 is gone in a blink of an eye and it is now 2017. Another time of the year where I start to re-pack my 2016 summaries and put them all inside one single post for better later referencing. And I am also reading back what I have done over my year 2016 in Batam. If you guys have been with me,be it joining me ,linking up with me or simply just reading up my summaries, you are in one way or another growing with me, in Batam.

Believe it or not,in my summaries,there are good and bad times but when I read back,i begin to realize that I mainly remembers the good and the bad remains little in my thoughts. For the good,i will just wish to made it better and for the bad ones,i will try my best to learn from it,and not to repeat.

The key to prepare for CNY 2016 on Feb. Everything needs to be prepared in advance,from booking of hotel room to ferry tickets from Horizon Ferry. My 1st time to Botak Cun eating the well-known best noodles i have ate in Batam. Not an easy place to reach and i need to be brought there by bro Micmac.

It is also the 1st time i get to bonk an Indo Chinese,hehehe...or should i say it is my 1st bonk with a pure breed Indo Chinese from Kalimatan (hp and perfume shop indo Chinese no count,hehehe...becos it is not everyone could get type of situation).

I go Batam preparing for their ,busiest ,crowdest and most expensive time of the year.

Its CNY 2016. My 2nd CNY trip to Batam. The crowd that are in Batam like the last year,was the biggest i have ever seen (yes, more pack than X'mas & new year day). I took a night ferry there,my friend pick me up from the harbour.

There are many variation of this lesson.

a) Keep an open mind

b) Do not look at things from appearance, as some time it wont turn out the way I expect it to be.

c) 换个立场想 - stand in another person viewpoint to look at a situation

d) As an individual, looking at things with my heart or with my eyes. Both ways of looking at things by a single person can be quite different..

CNY 2016 was not as pack as 2015,hehehe...quite a surprise for me. Maybe becos I learned my lessons during 2015? Hehehe...each CNY in Batam just got better and better over the years.

Tulip was still Tulip until they turned Kupu the following time i visit it. And its also the beginning part of Formosa hotel's renovation of their appearance.

Its the Ramadan month,there are things to watch out for during Ramadan,Batam almost come to a stand still,girls were gradually becoming lesser starting from the beginning of Ramadan to the end of it. Some girls fast,some girls dont. So there is different timing to see different batch girls and via the backdoor of each booking joint. Fasting girls were more likely to return back to joint at the wee hour of the morning,booking an start as late as 7pm or as early as 1pm. This was surprisingly quite a good trip

Its the month most would skip Batam,or Indonesia.

The 1st time i visited Link KTV,a new KTV booking joint and its a sister joint of Happy 8. Over the last few months,new booking joint start stepping in,KupuKupu,Link,Sri Kandy...all were sister shops of Bunga and Happy 8. Both me and my friend paid 800k and 900k rupiah respectively for SYT level type of girls which could easily be price above 1.3 million rupiah in places like Bunga,Happy 8,Kupukupu,Link and Sri Kandy.

Finally,the Monkey King movie arrived to Batam 皇天不负有心人啊. Something I have been looking forward to watch. You may ask,i can always watch them in Sillypore,why the wait? All I can say that the feel of watching it in Sillypore and in Batam were totally different, hehehe...I have already watch it online tho,but still I am going to watch it again....in Batam and oh,this movie is screening all over batam as i speak (since yesterday).

I hold a different opinion about buying food at cinemas.

Granted, it cost more than the food available in convenient store. But, the tickets are already cheap to begin with. 25,000 on weekdays, 35,000 on weekends. I'm OK to spend a bit more on the food - as I do enjoy munching something when enjoying my movie.

In Singapore, the ticket itself cost $8-$13 (giving a range as I don't go cinema in Singapore anymore). Cinemas operator are complaining of dwindling customers. And, yet, they choose to punish the customers that supported then by increasing ticket pricing. And the snacks are not cheap to begin with.

I enjoy watching movie in cinema. But the price to pay in Singapore, in my opinion, are not worth it.

I would like the ticket pricing in Batam to continue. And, I'll support them by purchasing the snacks, as it does add to the experience too..

If I don't remember wrong,my mum told me in Jakarta over 30 years ago,a movie ticket can cost about S$20 (my parents worked there during then),hehehe...and sillypore was at that time about S$1.50 to S$2.50 (smoking was still semi-allowed within the theater premises during those time). :D

I don't think its on the top floor of Batam City Hotel.

I am not a Batam KTV person...however here's the info I collected regarding it. Batam City Hotel ,Grand Dragon Pub and KTV...2nd block of the other side of the hotel where New Spa is located. If I don't remember wrong it should be 2nd or 3rd floor of that same block and NOT the block where guest's room were situated.

The price variances of different KTVs in Batam is around 20% apart (200k/250k/300k) when it comes to 'butterfly girls' sitting fee (girls don't butterfly around in Batam KTV room).

What is a Quote (or quote-lock) and what is a Hide Function in this forum?

Let's start with Quote 1st...

This below, is a quote :

2. Now another way to Quote is by clicking on the 80944 button of a person's post which is usually at the button right side of a person's posting.

Important note : I think it is against forum rule to quote the entire whole long post of another person during a reply. Avoid it.

In other word,you cannot quote my words below when i quote (-lock) it like the below :

Before posting it out to allow public to view my post,i highlight PART of my words and then click on 80943. I do that sometime whenever i have some very long message in a single post, so that readers who are replying to my post DO NOT have a chance to quote my Whole Long post,hence not breaching the forum rules (and be removed).

The 2nd Paragraph

Ok,so much for the Quote-Locking above,now we come to the Spoiler Button aka Hide-Code.

What is a Hide Code?

This is a Hide code (like the below)-

I hide the content of my 'words' into the spoiler button and it is only when you clicked on the spoiler button could you then see the words/pictures/content i have hidden.

How to use it?

1. Just like the Quote button 80943, you will 1st have to write something,or maybe post a photo,and then you highlight it like the below...

2. After you highlighted it...click on the 80948 button.

3. Instead of clicking Submit Reply to post,you click on Preview Post to double check if you could see 80950 in your preview.

4. Once you could see that spoiler button, it is confirm that your have done it correctly and you are safe to click on "Submit Reply" thereafter.

Hide Code is also another good method to shorten a very long post whereby you allow ONLY interest party to view your posting which you choose to be 'hidden' away. They will have to click on the 80950 button to view your post. You can even do a Spoiler within another Spoiler like this too.

1st Spoiler Test

All you need is to highlight your massage and then click on the 80948 button over and over again.

Of course, I can also use the Hide Code aka Spoiler button to hide some very big animated file and then write a pre-warned message that says.
