You're a registered paying customer of the hotel while she, sorry IT, had no legitimate reasons to be there, in front of your room somemore. Thus she could be considered a trespasser and more likely that the whale would get into trouble than you if this was reported to the reception. Anyway, take it as a lesson learnt. You'll be better for it in the future.
