Bought a Chinese newspaper-Lianhe wanbao today.

The shop owner in pearls centre hire PI to hunt down the massage shop in pearls centre. In the newspaper, it stated that they got the info of which shop provide the special service. Even the process of it. They are planning to hand the info to the police. I think now not a good time to visit them.

I think of one shop owner - a lady who own facial therapy centre, whose employees dressed in purple suit, harrassing passerbys (young ,old, female, male) for facial.

Last time, I went there and found that I was mistaken.. I guess some bros asked ladies ''got special or not''

SINGAPORE - Disgruntled retailers at Pearls Centre have decided to put an end to vice activities at massage parlours in the building by hiring a private investigator to uncover their illegal activities.

These retailers contributed $6,000 for a PI to secretly record footage of women soliciting for business at these massage parlours.

A shop owner who declined to give his real name told Lianhe Wanbao that he and four other shop owners have been neighbours with these massage parlours for four years. However, they lacked evidence to end the vice activities.

He said his beauty centre was a legitimate one but suffered loss of business as it was located just beside the massage parlours. Customers also mistook them to be offering sexual services.

The private investigator has recorded six video clips of the women soliciting customers. He spent three weeks exposing these massage parlours.

Another shop owner said the massage parlours have ruined the reputation of the place. Customers who visited their shops were turned away by the presence of the scantily-clad women.

The retailers plan to submit the video clips as evidence to the police and assist them in closing down these massage parlours.

I'm surprised such news still resurfaced, esp after PC have been thoroughly 'cleaned up' of sleazy joints over the years, n furthermore the building's gonna be demolished in 2 years time. I wonder y do people still have so much free time for all these nonsense n sorts. It's not too difficult figuring out the hanky panky shops, afterall there r only a few of these 'obvious ones' surviving. And the article had given a hint that the shop is 'located just beside the massage parlours'.

no lah the place isnt dead. it's no open secret thr's still hanky panky goin on in some shops, juz that it had toned down a lot over the years. however, i think in recent months, some of these china MILFs rode their luck too far, their persistent n open touting make things look glaring again. that triggered the legitimate shop owners' unhappiness. oredi they were so buay song after learning PC would be demolished in 2 yrs' time.

This shop at ground floor.
The massage are all second and third floor.

So am I surprised at such development. Afterall, the building is in the process of being accquired by gov. According to my tenant friend( non massage), the shop who are being filmed in sleazy actions had previously harmed many other owners due to business rivary in massage. They clean up their acts, and now, they are ganging up to deal with that shop owner, who is rumoured to own all the massage shops having sleazy actions nowdays.
