Managed to catch the Cebu PacificAir promotion today and bought return tix to Cebu for mid-October. Will be my 1st trip there. I have browsed through this thread but it seems like there is not much info to be gleaned from here.
Hope to see more postings by bros who had been to Cebu.

Colon area is fine in the daytime... but i advise you to avoid this area after sun down. Mango is relatively much safer than Colon. Lapu Lapu is safe but nothing much there.

I'll be in Cebu city/lapulapu this coming weekend -- Sunday and Monday. Care to tell me where is colon area so I can avoid? I am planning to go to mango and check out those bars. Maybe not too far away from mango ave/sq since I never been there b4.

Mango is situated within Uptown Cebu i.e. refers to the northern part of Cebu city. Uptown is where most visitors stay: more bars and clubs, area here is more modern, and safer than downtown areas. Around Mango area you'll find many gogo bars and clubs like Julianas... If you want more upscale clubs, go to IT Park (5 mins from Ayala).

Downtown refers to Colon St area(South of Mango). It’s the older part of Cebu, more local, more seedy and unsafe after the dept stores close (9pm).

Another hint: From Mactan airport, ignore the airport taxi (cost 600pesos). Instead, cross the small road and go up the short staircase, and hail a cab from there. Tell the driver to use meter or nego to 200-250p to uptown (mango area) area, wherever your hotel is. If you want to hang around Mango, there are many hotels around Robinsons area.

Last time I checked.... they were wearing g-strings n bikini tops

You can wear anything you want but if you wanna go on stage then the dress code is bikini top n tiny briefs....

Came back from Cebu on Monday night.

My FR:

Went to cebu city mango ave on Sunday. Reach here 530pm, still early so went to nearbu chowking for dinner. Saw many couples. Mostly koreans. many street kids begging for $.

8pm chiong into red lips. Gals still putting on makeup. So left the place and went to sisters. One bottle beer 70p. LD 200p. BF 1800p.

After 2 hrs in there, left happy with a gal.
