Re: Angeles City (Balibago) Tips
Bros may be interested to know that in the PI, for children under 13 yrs travelling with you, you must have the parent's written consent endorsed by the barangay even if the children are your nephews or nieces. This is provided for in the Child Trafficking Resolution Bill. The law here is quite strict when it involves minors.

I will be at Angeles for a connection flight with my 9 years old daughter. We fly into Manila from Japan and I plan to stay a few nights in Angeles before connecting Tiger Air to Hong Kong. I and my daughter both holding EU passports, we both non-Filipinos, does this written statement endorsed by barangay(sorry I don't know what is barangay, but I think it means some government agency) apply to us too? Your comment got me worried about making a stay in Angeles for connection flight with a young daughter. |

Based on what's been said, my advise is to bring Birth Certificate or proof of you being the father just in case. Doubtful that you ever will need to show it but it helps. Of course her calling you Daddy helps!

Just a piece of advice, we are actually talking abt a cowboy town here, life can be made difficult by the authorities if they find the opportunity to do so if you start flashing ur rolex, gold chain, iphone and etc. If you are not too lazy, please read thru the thread and you may understand why. A few days may be too much for a traveling single dad with a 9 yr old daughter, 1 or 2 nights may be just fine as you see, even some of the bro here are suffering from post AC syndrome and extent the trip when they are being hit by the disease. EU citizen Diba ?? what you may encounter there may either be a nightmare or a dream that u wish u will never wake up. Either one will not be good for you with a 9 year old daughter. Just hope you can seriously think over it carefully.

Re: Angeles City (Balibago) Tips
Amazonboy, beyond your worries on IDing your kid: Are you leaving your 9 year old kid ALONE in your hotel room, while you getting your rocks off in ST room elsewhere? Same concerned question by Lord earlier to your query post.
Fields strip is not exactly Makati, more hospitable to horny guys hitting the bars than a visiting 9 yr daughter.

Well said bro....
With a daughter around epecially at an age where she cant care for herself id rather behave rather than jerk off. Daughters safety paramount. Quote:

Very true. Thanks for all the info. Angeles is not the place to leave a young daughter alone in hotel room, although I have done that quite often in safer places like Macao, Japan, HK, western Europe ect. I have been to AC alone before and stayed in Swiss Chalet and Royal Amsterdam, and both seemed quite safe for a child alone for few hours, but have decided to scrape the idea, AC after all is still a rough cowboy territory that I am not too familiar with. I just decided to skip AC, and go HK, more familiar ground, directly from Manila, and do a few hotel 141 sessions instead. |
