Do you regret marrying?

The number one reason why people get married is because:
When you become old, your children will look after you.
(if your children are raised well with good values such as filial piety*, compassion,etc, etc)
*Filial piety (Chinese: 孝, xiào) is a virtue of respect for one's parents, elders, and ancestors.

When the other half u married is crap...u will regret for sure....but when u get married to a good wife...it is way so much better than being single....

Just heard from my friend who has just been retrenched. His wife of 5 yrs is divorcing him when he just got retrenched. Want to split the house half half when he paying most of the loan.

Look like sg women can enjoy together cannot suffer together. Sad life.

Hope he can find a job soon.

Women are very scary nowadays.
My mum was relating this story at the dinner table about one of her colleagues.
A middle aged man had came to their office to make a Will and apparently he was widowed, in poor health and has adult children living their own lives and obviously RICH. My mum's colleague, a manager in her early 30s and known as the office bicycle (because she is easy rider for any horny guy).... declared that she will seduce that man and marry him within 3 months and then divorce him for his assets...... so damn scary

There aren't many regrets in my life but marriage is one deep and profound regret and probably the one regret that will linger in me for as long as i live...
People always say think carefully, see carefully, decide carefully before signing the deed.... but its like telling a child don't eat icecream it will give you toothaches. Will the child listen? Will we listen? of course not... we always like to learn our lessons the painful way....

on the other hand, if we look at marriage from a different perspective, you see that its not just the fault of the wife or the husband. A friend of mine is a marriage counsellor relate the alarmingly increasing prevalence of divorces in this analogy. She has a daughter whom she only give limited kinds of candies such as gummy bears or big rabbit milk candy as special treats on special occasions reason being sugar can cause dental caries. The daughter happily enjoyed the treats and has never questioned nor complained about them. Till the daughter went to primary school and came back telling the mother she want M&Ms, ferrero roche, magnums, marshmellows etc. Apparently in school, the children compared sweets given to them and discussed the types of sweets they have eaten and since then her daughter keep complaining about gummy bears and big rabbit candies which had used to be her fav. In her years of counseling, almost every case both party had subtly compared each other to what they had heard or seen from other seemingly perfect marriages. We seem to derive the image of how a good wife or hus should be from friends, social medias, tv celebrities, movies etc. With the plenty of ''help'' especially from social medias, and we being social media junkies, everyday we are constantly being presented images of romantic couples and their envious living styles.

Perhaps our society has became a very good conductor for divorces.

After contract give Chee bye face little bit don't know do what wrong show black black face. Give birth also ask for Rolex. Then own Brothers cannot take care of her parents coz simply spend money (btw they earn 10k a mth) I also got to help...

I think girls even more poor thing. Get married either have to give birth or become maid then ask a bit of present from hub. Hub must be like big fuck. This cannot and that cannot. Be free maid so many months for fuck. Dunno marry for what in the end also the whole fucking shit responsibility of taking care of family all falls on the girl. Like that sometimes how to not regret.at least single life got my own fucking time.
