Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
Thought i would share this YT channel which might be of interest to you guys. Called the Big Six. Great stuff from real fan 'pundits' from each of the 'Big Six' PL clubs. This episode was done after the Carabao Cup semi between Arsenal v Liverpool was postponed with interesting insight and facts shared by the Liverpool 'fan/pundit' to rebut all the criticism and saltiness coming from Arsenal fans, anti-reds brigade and any other critics/pundits on social and mainstream media. Also, banter aside, i find the discussion and analysis from all 6 'fan/pundits' to be good fresh stuff and more entertaining than the usual 'ex-player/pundits' stuff. Hope you guys enjoy |

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
Didn't watch the game last night but caught the highlights and read some stuff on it both mainstream and social media.
Positives We move on ;The kids got a good run out ; young Gordon scored a good goal; Bobby scored a 'Firmino' ; Next round we have a home tie against Cardiff. Negatives Love Klopp to bits but his stubbornness in sticking to the High Line when we don't have a fully fit best XI is both frustrating and worrying. Once again our right side was left wide open with space. Also Virgil still not up to speed. Big up Shrewsbury, they played very well and took advantage of the weaknesses in our High Line. Klopp really needs to think hard about his High Line strategy, especially with the current squad available. Inter are going to tear us to shreds if we are not careful. Actually even Arsenal might have some luck on Thursday night as well if we don't watch them wide open spaces, especially on the right. At the post match presser heard a question being asked about Thiago's medical condition. That hip problem of his does not sound good although Jurgen tried to play this down. Very disappointing as it looks like Thiago might not be available for the Inter CL tie. No sight of Origi either. Really hope he returns to training quickly. Also hope nothing wrong with Jota as he was not even on the bench last night. Also hope Robertson is ok as it seems he took a hard knock last night. Klopp himself looked peaky at the post match presser so hope he has a good rest. |

Time to let him go back to Barcelona. We really need to lower the average age of our squad.

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
Apparently, Liverpool had 40 false positives PCR results last week. False positives mean that upon further investigation, there is no covid. Probably test kit failure. Only TAA end up as a real Covid case.
This is the reason why the first leg against Arsenal is postponed. The 40 false positives include staff as well. A cluster of 40 will be really scary

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
No comments on last night's match as yet?
Not surprised as it looks to have turned out to be a stinker for us(did not catch the game, thankfully!!, just seen the highlights and read the reviews) Arsenal down to 10 looks like a 'false positive' "Melissa Reddy As per @michael_reid11, it was the sixth time this season Liverpool have seen an opponent have a player sent off. In 263 mins against 10 men in those six games, Liverpool have only scored 3 goals, 2 of which were penalties." Sadly that about sums us up in these type of situations. I know this is a really simplistic view but it does seem like we have one way of playing and stick to it no matter the circumstances. When everyone is available our 433 is a well oiled machine and every player fits the role profile carefully. When pieces as important, brilliant and unique as Salah and Mane are missing you can't expect Taki and Jota (in a unfamiliar position) to provide the same skill set and quality. We did the same thing last season for a long time with the centre backs. Miss arguably 3 of the top 10 cbs in the league (VVD, Matip and Gomez) and continue to play a high line which is suited to our very unique players. Simplify the game until your best players come back. Anyways its still only half time in the Carabao Cup and we move on to Brentford next. |

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
Milner n Hendo in midfield together is set for failure ..No creativity n penetration, just plenty of back n sideway passes. Hendo's form has dipped quite a bit lately.
Not a single shot on target in yesterday's match! Pathetic.. |

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
Any win will do tonight.
We need to get back our confidence. 1W and 1L in 5 is poor. Also agree with bro countryman on the Milner/Hendo combo, abysmal to say the least and should never be used again unless very last resort. Milner has been a great servant to the club but he is just too old to be starting matches nowadays. Curtis should start tonight. I would also go with Neco because I think Trent is not fully fit after Covid. Jota should not be on the right, preferably in the centre and play Bobby behind him. Alternatively Jota left and Bobby centre. Also might give Gordon a go as well. Could not be worse than what we have seen from Taki recently. Might even play Tsimikas instead of Robbo as well. |
