there's really a lot to give up if one gets married... Earlier on, someone shared a video on why men remain single. factors included time, space, money, youth, all will be gone. but we won't not alone. our spouse will be throwing those away too.

I wanna try the supposedly next stage of life. someday sometime we all will need somebody by our side, simply to spend a morning lim kopi, watch tv, etc etc. that's just my take on this topic.

in any case, not every marriage or wife would turn out like this. i have seen many cases where the wife has a full-time job, but still does her best to cook dinner & spend time with hubby. maybe cannot cook everyday, but at least on weekend, she would whip up a simple dinner for the family.

I think if you read the cases here, and many real ones outside, after 40s mostly the same. Think your reference point is one where people are just married, no kids. Clearly you are young and not married as well. Of course not all are the same, but those whose wives are working, most of the cooking is given to the maid.
No need to look outside, if you after 40s, and your friends, this is true for a lot of families. When does a woman start to cook and care for family again? When they are grandmothers.
