yup, jetstar really cannot make it even now with the promotion of $9 still more expensive than tiger which is selling at $9.90.

Re: Cheapest Budget Airline to Bangkok

Tks bros for ur valuable feedback!

i have been surfing the net on tiger (ard 150~170), airasia (ard 180) & jetstar (abt 200 - wtf), i find tiger has the lowest fares if u wan to book in short time but i notice in the papers the travel agents flight fare prices are much cheaper than internet (fr 128)...hmm any strings attached for these travel agents?

Anyone can advise which airline can let you change ur return flight to a later date or bring forward after you have booked the flight?

Also, is buying one way trip from Bkk to Sin in Thailand more cheaper?

bear in mind tigerairways doesnt include the 700thb departue tax. so add another extra ~27sgd into ur 150, doesnt make it much cheaper afterall.

and for travel agents in papers, see the clause below, they do not include tax and fee yet. wad's stated is purely the flight ticket only.

check out swissair, @ 248 u can change ur flight for free within a 1 yr period.

From 25th March onwards, local departure taxes will be pre-collected by the airline for departure from Vietnam, and the following Thailand airports - Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Hat Yai, and Phuket.

used to fly jetstar to taipei quite often, the seat is totally can't make it but wat to do cheapest ma ... tried once airasia, somehow found their seat space is slightly spacious as compare to jetstar ... just my 2cents opinion ler ...

got a ticket in june from tiger, 142 nett.

think those travel agents haven add on all the taxes n surcharges ... better ask clearly.

all allowed to change time but u can't choose the cheapest fare n think u had to add on some $$ for changing it. if u take normal airline then no charges, tried once with eva air from taipei to sin, no charges at all but must at least 48hrs before departure time.

dun think buyin oneway will be cheaper but u can try it out

Different airlines charges differently. U just take SQ charges with TG and compare the different.

I buy all my tickets thru online.

Budget air allows u to change date or time but u have to pay a penalty if u did not purchase the full fares.

For budget air, no much different but for normal airline, 1 way ticket is abt 3/4 of return air fare.

If u dun live near GM, n purposely go down just to change a few hundreds then it is not worth it. In MBK, there r a few money changers, I'm not talking abt the banks. These changers, their rates r good too. I normally change from a shop selling gold. Dunno the name.
