Not that marrying young will lead to divorce but the attitude of youngsters nowadays is different, maybe more self centered and the environment here is totally discouraging.

Totally agree. My wife is self centered. Thinks of herself more than the two kids. If not for the kids I would be part of the statistics too. Wife start to work and earn more. The more self centered n prideful she gets. Sigh.

Actually to me, marriage is just a piece of paper. The vows said are mere words if both parties do not act it with faith.

but of cos one day you will wanna settle down with someone who can be with you and love you for who you are, but marriage doesnt mean one is tied down as well.

most impt is happy can already, marry or not doesnt matter.

I think most Singapore gal are like that. More self centered.. One reason is because they are financially independent.

Kids are innocent. So most couples stay on because of kids...
