Really depends what u define as rich. Her family loaded? Then may have problem during wedding prep as they will show off their wealth and being the Bridegroom and family have to "Eat some humble pie". If that the case then dun try to match the amount of tables at wedding dinner cos the "poorer" groom family may not have the amount of frens to match these tables.

Let me relate a friend’s life story who was / is in this predicament. In 1993, there was a fine gentleman who was an undergraduate in a down under university. He struggled to meet his tuition fee and living expenses because his father decided to leave his family for another woman. He took up 2 jobs to meet these needs. From 4pm to 10pm, he worked as a waiter. From 3am to 7am, he delivered newspapers. In between these, heavy loads of assignments and tutorials to do. Trust me, it was tough life as I was going though the same routine with him!

One night, at the restaurant he met the ‘angle’ of his life! This ‘angle’ was fat, short and full of pimples! Someone you would avoid at all cost. Later we found out her birthday was May the Sixth thus giving her name called USS Enterprise. She tipped James $50 that night. She continued for the next 3 weeks.

One month later, James made a choice! He shifted into a posh apartment overseeing the river and city. He drove an M series Beemer. He stopped working at the restaurant and delivery. He can afford to party on Friday and Saturday nights! He golfed on Sunday.

He said to me he will dump her once he graduated. She said she paid to have a memorable university life.

16 years later, he is still married to her. They have 2 children studying in one of the oversea colleges in Singapore. Under his name, he has at least 7 posh condominiums and landed properties in D9 and D10.

well personally I think I have made my first mill at least and on my own. i think any one of us who is lucky and driven to make money can make more (be it getting a rich wife). However, someone who doesnt intend to make money on their own rather get it from a rich spouse to blow will either blow away the money in time or lose the wife n the money. wouldnt you agree? and if you can keep it then you are amongst the lucky lot...u cud hav been born into a sheikhs family!

Ha ha ha this is a good one. I will choose pride over money anytime... maybe I too mcp to have my gf/wife to be my master. I guess that's why I am still a poor guy.
