View Full Version : Vaccinated MLs?
Bros,
Anyone know if MLs have been given priority vaccination or know if there are local/MILF 40+ MLs who already been jabbed?
Many of us worried about safety, yeah? For me thing I most worry is getting QO and have to sit in hotel for 21 days. Go crazy.
Looking for Vaccinated ML who wear mask - any suggestions?
My thinking is if ML is vaccinated chance they test positive is possible but very small. That much safer.
Yeah yeah I know I can just sit at home too.

I asked some for fun, some said jab, some no. Hard to say to be frank.
Not to mention they can also be lying to make you feel assured if you raise concern. If concerned just make sure they wear mask. Sure they will oblige also.

Yes good points, but for me I already fully vaccinated - so as worried about Covid as about getting SHN/QO.
Less risk of that with vaccinated ML I think - since even if they have positive customer they have to catch it and test positive for you to get QO. Less likely they catch with jab.
I think its better you go buy those covid test kit and donate to ML test on spot before unmask. :D
Haha good idea - I provide a mobile test service - run test and report results to MOH + SBF for the good of all bros in SG :p

Some have been waiting for Sinovac. It matters to them when they RTC. Maybe quarantine period will be shorter.

I thought, despite getting vaccinated, it does not mean one won't get infected. In short, infection is still a possibility, except that there is a safeguard in a sense that effects won't be severe and not be a ICU case.

Definitely can get infected - but chance is ~20x less likely than if unvaccinated. And yes - even less likely one ends up on oxygen tank.

Think most PRC MLs will prefer Sinovac - simple reason when go back less hassle, was told by one regular ML recently.
Problem is - with only 200k shots available how many of them will get it ? Since they also have to fight with their own countrymen and country women who are currently residing here.

Not long ago, if mls say they already vaccinated, you will know they are above age 40. But our government is too quick to roll out to those age 12 to 39. With this roti prata going on, it's frustrating. Let's hope by mid-July, we can eat at hawker centres five persons to a table. I have seen elders ransacking the rubbish bins since CB days but they didn't kena the virus. Experts say bukit merah cases maybe from public toilets and long queues. Just lucky or unlucky la.

Many MLs are on work permits, and you can see newspapers all usually talking about ‘vaccination rollout to citizens’ so a lot of MLs, like other work permit holders, are registered n waiting.
SinoVac is oversubscribed, so also a long waiting list.
I reckon with the accelerated vaccination schedule, we should see everyone who wants to be vaccinated will be able to do so by August.

If they jab sinovac, they have higher chance to get infected by wuhan virus than Pfizer/Moderna. When they get infected they most likely won't know till test positive since china vaccine mostly turn infected into Asymptomatic. :D

Read from Yahoo that a few countries that depended on Sinovac are now reporting high infection rates despite most of their people been vaccinated with it...seems like it highly unreliable vaccine and yet our gov still dare allow it to be use...

That's the real reason, they worried that PRC authorities won't acknowledge their vaccinated status when the day comes that they return home.
Conversely, i have heard of some parents, locals, who are wary about mRNA vaccines and want their kids jabbed with sinovac, but then worry when travel overseas, won't be recognized by western countries

This 14-day regular fast and easy tests (FET) regime will be mandatory from around mid-July, the Covid-19 multi-ministry task force said in a virtual press conference on Friday (June 18).
Such staff includes employees of dine-in food and beverage establishments, those working in personal care services such as facial and nail services, spas, saunas, massage establishments, hairdressing, and make-up services; and people working in gyms and fitness studios where clients are unmasked.

It is a question of age and timing of registration, nothing to do with permit. Those who register interest are the first ones to be invited in once their age group opens. Many families have had their helpers vaccinatesd in April/May already. Good news that the government secured more jabs.

You need to read up on the definition of efficacy rates and exposure.
Yes, getting vaccinated does not mean that you are totally immune to COVOD-19, or that you are not contagious when you get it.
Vaccination will reduce the chances of being infected - this UK study find it 0.03%, one in 3,333 chance, and 0.04% ended up in hospital. https://covid.joinzoe.com/post/risk-covid-after-vaccine
This demonstrates that those vaccinated have a significantly lower incidence of:
1. contracting COVID-19
2. Needing hospitalization, including serious care (oxygen machine, etc)
This is a report in late May comparing vaccinated to non-vaccinated Covid-19 cases in Singapore:
https://www.straitstimes.com/singapore/health/80-of-cases-in-current-outbreak-not-vaccinated
A lot of people don't seem to understand the full effects of COVID-19, including hospitalization and recovery, which can be never - some people suffered permanent organ damage.
This chart shows that, compared to the 18-29 year old reference group, a person in their 50s would have a 35x higher risk of death, and 4x more likely to need hospital care.
https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/covid-data/investigations-discovery/hospitalization-death-by-age.html
I've seen reports that the Pfizer vaccine cost US$30, and Moderna cost US$50. This is still much lower than a single day's stay in a COVID isolation ward in hospital.

Don't bother telling PRC ML that China vaccines are lousy. They don't share that view.
What's the use of vaccines? Is the aim to help us go back to life before Covid? Regardless of what you say about China vaccine, life has gone back to normal in China for some time already. So if you tell them China vaccines are lousy, they will ask you how come life in China is back to normal without any major outbreak for almost a year now. They are not even wearing masks.
If we tell them Pfizer and Moderna are 95% efficacy, they may ask us to name a country using these vaccines where life has gone back to normal. Then we name which country? The most important thing for them is life getting back to normal... not some number from a scientific research. I do agree with them a bit. Now we are so focused on vaccine efficacy we kind of forget the aim is to get life back to normal as soon as possible.
There is another element besides vaccine used which is government control. In the countries using sinovac, these are mostly 3rd world countries where the people may not bother with social distancing and wearing masks. That's why hard to contain spread. Hard to contain spread means even vaccinated people can still meet infectious people.
China, as a communist country... with all their facial recognition cctv... I think the people will find it hard to break the rules. Also never heard of people asking to see social distancing ambassador badge or sovereign lady in their country. So if they can contain an outbreak and really zero down on unlinked cases, vaccine efficacy low so what... still need to find a person with covid to start a cluster right? Plus when they lockdown a city, really effective and sudden. Not like Malaysia... tell you lockdown 2-3 days in advance, many people then run out of KL back into their village and spread Covid in the process.
Considering China spread Covid to the rest of the world, really unfair in a way they suffered the least and can still laugh at other people's suffering. CCB CCP.

They can do that not because their vaccine very good. It's because they can effectively bar foreigners from entering the country. This together with strict quarantine rules have managed to keep out all the nasty variants that are more infectious. In fact, now they continue to "lockdown" the entire country from foreigners for another year. I don't call this effective or in any way back-to-normal.

Actually I have given up sharing what I know about the covid vaccines...There will always be supporters and detractors...
Eastern camp will say western vaccines lousy, terrible...Western camp will say eastern vaccines lousy, terrible...It doesn't matter your arguments are supported by facts/numbers, they will find a reason not to see/understand your point of view...
So to me now is very simple. Wanna take, take. Don't wanna take,, also fine by me. But Bukit Merah cluster is a good indication for ppl who are not vaccinated...
I took the western vaccine and since there's no travelling allowed now, I took the vaccine that can give me the best protection. Next time, probably CN will recognise western vaccines, so good enuf to enter CN. Otherwise, I'll just go and take 2 shots of eastern vaccines as part of "entry" requirements

Does it matter? Must reach a consensus? Don't let this issue stress you too much. TCSS life passes by easily.
I just wish to do my massage and get a HJ. Pfizer, Moderna, Sinovac... my KKJ don't care leh. It just wants to get a HJ. My wallet just want to give up a blue note in return.
The PRC people will always say their country is the best. To me, their country is best at sending ML to Singapore to shake our cocks. We must thank them for their export. Last time they send PDMM. Now they also send younger girls.

He is well informed. Apparently the PRC gahmen dun have much faith in mRNA vaccines. Those folks that are vaccinated with Sinovac are governed less strictly and have easier clearance through immigration and given more freedom in the cities than those vaccinated with western vaccines.
