For instance, an SMS message that reads 'drink coffee' really meant that it was time to scram because the police had arrived.

This was just one of several services Chong Chee Khong, 44, offered to illegal prostitutes in exchange for protection money.

He would collect $20 a day from each prostitute to act as their watch-out along Geylang Lorong14.

But he ended up being watched - and caught - by the police.

Chong was jailed six months and fined $30,000 recently after pleading guilty to four charges, three of living off prostitutes' earnings.

He was also found guilty of managing a place of assignation, meaning that he regarded a part of Geylang Lor 14 as his 'territory', and managed his prostitutes there as they waited for customers.

Another seven similar charges were taken into consideration for the sentencing.

So is the taxi driver who drive them ard and get paid committing an offence ?
Is the mama shop indian guy who sold them condom to be used committing an offence ?
Is the mee siam stall owner who sold them mee siam w/o hum committing an offence ?

The guy act as a look out, he didn't force them into prositution, nor take their earning and pay them a fee, etc. From the way i look at it, the prositute required a service of a look out, they approach him, they pay him.

I really wonder how the hell does the prosecutor prove all that. Its not like there'a any physical evidence involved other than if most or all of his charges squealed on him. Or he is coerced into making a signed confession stating all the above. But then, is the guy so ignorant of his rights and also his appointed lawyer is not advising him at all about it. Did I miss something about this being part of something bigger ?

evo/wrx? u probably look down on these big-time businessmen. they mostly dont even need to drive and if they do, its either 7-series or cls.. and they live around siglap area...its well known in the circles. but some are not even living inside their own house but in changi.
