Another update... while I was there.. visited a place call Tungsao Mansion... Nightly rates 400 baht... monthly 1000 baht. This is just off Channivate... Soi 5 i think... for ppl who have interest ... just call 074-26265760... the place is new and very clean... rooms are tiled... no bathtub... parking by the side of the road..

How is JB Hotel? Still operational? If so, any upgrading or refurbishing done? It was the best during the very early 90s though not at the central location.

Also, any new or upcoming traditional massage joint equipped with sauna, steam bath or even jucuzzi? Couldn't find any when I was there last year and before. And I am not referring to those spas such as the one near SGV.

Stayed in JB early last year. Paid bt1400 with abf thru a hotel webbie (virgin trip, wet behind my ears).

Probably seen it's heydays. Room a bit tatty. Quite big cafe for breakkie. Quiet location, opposite some famous fishball noodle kopitiam. Got free shuttle airport to/fro. Saw more thai customers than tourists. Understand it's bit off from central. But nothing a tuk2 ride cannot solve.

Ooops...it suddenly dawned on me that there was this Sparks (traditional massage) with mini spa facilities. There was a mini hot pool and a steamed bath or suana if I remember correctly. Also, the masseur would help to scrub your back but strictly no hanky panky.

But that was quite a few years ago. Is the place still operating?

I feel that Hatyai Central massage parlour has got nice decoration like Japanese style if I'm not wrong. I don't know if the gals there allow to come your hotel room to provide service.
Oliver has good skill massage, but no television and seperated by curtain only. Most time anyone's conversation can be over heard and quite far not within walking distance.

Anyone try this place call Aladin? Any recommend?

Kan Eng Restaurant had moved to Kimpradit Rd, within walking distance from See Kim Yong. It is two storey and non air-con at first floor. I find that it don't really serve local thai food, more like thai-chinese kind of food to suit mostly Malaysia and Singapore customer. However I feel their speed of serving food has drop else everything still as good.

Another good place I find is "Hua Li", if I get the name correct. Its also had move, now operate near BP Grand Tower hotel, left side from hotel entrance.
Clean, nice, and very reasonable price food serve here, especially their black chicken herb soup must try. Lots of local thai like to eat there.

For beef lovers, can try this "Lin Shan Wan Li Xiang Niu Rou Wang", thats how the name card translate. It is situated along Chee Uthit Rd, just opposite Srinakorn school, within walking distance from See Kim Yong. There serve beef noodles and beef soup with rice.

Thursday - Saturday - open from 2pm onwards
Sunday - Wednesday - open from 3pm onwards

Price - 5000THB for Overnight / 2500 for short time (2hrs 1 shot whichever comes first).

Went there last Saturday at 5pm but there were only 3 girls left.. so so quality since they were the leftovers (about 6/10 in terms of looks). According to the mamasan they have 18 girls working now.

There is also a money back guarantee if you find that the service is not up to standard but I have not challenged this before.

I have collected a lot of good information from diyexplore website and still got about 2 months to prepare for my 1st cheong trip to Hatyai.

What I wanted to know is how to get the hotel rates from diyexplore website? Is it from the recommended travel agents (Chan, Davis, Lovely)? Do the travel agents have a signboard showing the hotel rates?

I just want to get the best price for me and my friends so hope Brudder Nanog69 or any brudder here can help me out.

thank you thread starter for this FACTUAL guide but can i request this thread to expand to other discovery like someone has mentioned about good hawker food at "ah boon" near Neo Hotel etc. I had cheong Hatyai in the late 90s to early 2000s but just gone back once only recently. Though an oldies now, would like to know places where we can have good thai food, seafood, local fares, places of worship, traditional massage (& ping pong massage) places and even real farm prices. For eg "Hiang Kui" seems to be the only place everyone is recommending for seafood though personally, IMHO not good enough as compared to JB & Singapore. A place where I find thai local food is good is "Kan Eng" near Sakura New Wing where the thai food are cheap & good.

I just had the pleasure of eating at Ah Boon... the Char Kuay Teow is very nice... prawn mee is also very good... Food is cheap and is just directly opposite Neo Hotel...

Seafood joints in HDY are exp... esp. places like Krua Tale...

Bhun Kao (I hope I got it right) on the hill is quite good... last trip... 15 of us the damage was about 3000 baht...

Old Lee Garden Restaurant quality has dropped so I don't recommend. (cos the price has not dropped)

I had this very nice... salted vege soup with Pork Spare parts near Lee Garden... know how to go but dunno how to explain... sorry horr... very nice food... about 178 baht for 3 ppl.

Kan Eng... I think has moved to near BP Hotel... a friend brought us... about 2k baht for 2 tables of 20 ppl... very good...

Aladdin not bad... its behind Sakura GV... i am not sure of the rates... but must be about 2 hours... 200 baht category... They do Room Massage.

Hadyai Central... girls dun come to your room to massage. Damage is 240 Baht for 2 hrs... this place considered THE PLACE to massage...

Oliver Massage... is actually the best in quality massage. especially if you select the Lao Jiaos... 200 baht for 2 hours...

As for curtains... never mind lorr... nothing to be shy about mah ... :p ...Just assume that ppl in next room cannot understand you lorr..

I only know the two hotels I have stayed at

1. Golden Crown... nice new and clean .. 65 Baht per night... (Through Chan Travel)... if you get 7th Floor room have internet access for 70 baht a night.
2. Sakura GV ... Older.. but a more comfortable place to me... 85 baht a night (from Chan Travel also).

Most of the travel agent price will be more or less maybe 10-30baht driffrent.
You need to ask them cos there are so many hotels around.

Indeed, that is why this thread was created so that the other threads ie. Hadyai after Dark & Hadyai for Sawadee Newbies would not be disturb and then was forced to be deleted/rollback. This thread has 2 intentions :-

The prices you get for the same farm may vary for whatever reason... like my posting with Sibaysong4u... he get 3500, i get 3600... same girl, same farm... different circumstances...

Just some misc information...

The rate for Tuk Tuk's is officially 15 baht per person per trip... dun need to ask... just count the number of people and pay...

If you are out with a local (whether ger/guy ... OL/WL... whatever...) get them to do the ordering... and check the bill... because they can ask for a discount.

The discount normally is around 10%. This does not work in Hotels horr... or places like Swensens / McDonalds (sure got some one ask one :p )

Places at night to party are few in HDY... The main ones are
1. Paragon ... Disco and FL Haven... if you see a group of girls without guys... she is fair game for an approach... 90% success rate... Rate ranges from 1000 baht (my Yandao friend) to 2000 baht (me .. kekeke...)
2. Kiss Channel ... Not much FL action... (only been lucky there once) but nice place to listen to music and chill with your girl and friends...
3. Waterbar ... was once a happening place... but is quieter... the main attraction are Bikini dancers... but like has been said.. typically non-bookable... but if u have loads of cash... u can still try and ask...
4. High Society ... I have only been here once... the girls / dancers are to die for... just buying them a drink can make u a happy man... But again... if u want to try for action... no guarantee as I think they are all High Maintenance...

Beware of Ecstacy and Ice... especially at Paragon... make sure you pick the correct FL... not a stoned druggie as she will be a deadfish... some of my bros has experienced this... and take care of the girls you go with... cos they may also ingest the stuff there...

Yo, LG stalls "peng".. ard bt500 for 5-6, with only basic stuff like noodles, 1 plate cockles, water, no beer some more. Not that great besides. Was there for 3 nights in a row. When compared with dinner in places like established gan eng rest ard bt800 for 7??

But teochew muay is best after partying out. If I only knew.. Not give you indigestion for workout later...:p

I am planning a trip but due to limited resources, I can only afford to travel once or twice a year so I really need a good recommedation so as not to be dissappoint. There are two very good threads that will provide you all the info you need whether it is for food, entertainment or girls. The bros namely thaivistor and taurus put in alot of effort to maintain both threads with up-dated info so maybe you can get all the info you need from there. At least then if you were to ask questions again, it can then be pin-pointed to a particular place.

Since you mention that you would like to make this trip a very memorable one, all the more you should read up both threads and you will be surprised with the amount of info you can get from these two threads.

Most WL in Hdy are SYT unless you specifically looking for MILF, be it WL from farms, WL from Kiss Lounge, FL from Paragon or "model" from SC. It all depends on your spending power and personal preference. Some say Farm WL provide the best service, some say SC Model provide the best GF while some say lots of hidden gems in FL from disco. Basically, it's SYT all over and very good chance for you to get her on your bed if you make your right move.

It is exceptional for a WL to go beyond market price which usually priced for those supposely "fresher" one, unless during peak festive season. Chenni and Wonderful used to be the one with the most WL at higher price tag. There are joints with even cheaper price tag but I bet those are more suitable for Ah Peks. The market price has been stable and fix across the market.

Whatever practise or rules established have been in place long before the existence of internet and I don't see anything suprisingly different. Hatyai is really a small cheonging scene that is too small for too much attention. Let's just enjoy cheonging.

Sorry, me not expert. Hdy is a far cry from Model Category like those found in BKK. The best u can get are typically BKK sidelines at SC Heritage (5k baht LT/2.5k ST) or Chaophrya 4 (2.1-2.5k baht soapy massage). Another potential would be Kiss Lounge. But all in all, best to lower one's expectations.

My last trip there the mummy from Wonderful was at Volvo ktv during the night ... i believe some of the gals r leftovers from the farms after no booking for the day ...

My taxi rides to & from airport used to be B200 & B250 respectively ... now it seems to be B250 each for both ways ...

Used to stay Sakura GV for about B850/night, now with regular gal I downgraded to old Sakura since no need for in-room safe ... :D costs B520/night (sorry i a bit cheap skate but machiam stay every 2 nights i get 1 free night).

Ate at Ah Boon as well, but their dishes not everyday have. tried the fish head beehoon, ok lah. tot of trying the curry mee but not available on friday. weekends got nasi lemak ...

Wah... u terror horr.. Wonderful mummy at Volvo also u know... So if Volvo gers.. some are leftovers.. then in theory can book one lorr.. but which is bookable and which cannot be booked must be communicated to the captain upfront then to prevent miscommunication... and waste of time and $$$

Sakura old is 520 a nite... ??? good rate... no need to say u cheapskate one... u just a budget cheongster ... no problems...

About price and service for newbies who asking for info, I would like to remind you one thing that everyone set their own standard differently.

I would recomend newbies to go for 1500-2000 (for LT). Why?
Because you need to learn how to handle WL attitude and get info from her such as eating places, her friends in the same farm, etc.
Because you have to understand WLs' tactics such as she doesn't do what you want, so you need to deal with it and use that experience for next new gals.
Because 1500-2000 is considering very cheap already. I would say I paid average 1500-2000 for ST (not from farm) or 2000 for 2 hrs MP gal in BKK but chances of bad service are almost the same.
Higher price doesn't mean good service, but price you pay for her looks. WL Service is one thing that not seem like a coin which show only 2 sides, but more like a dice which has 6 faces :p

Me and a kaki has manage to find some free time and we will be going for our first virgin trip to Hatyai this weekend on our own. Only short trip macam reccee for October trip with bigger group. Arrive Friday morning and come back on Sunday evening.

The Thai baht is expected to strengthen further - even test the Bt35.50 resistance level against the US dollar - because the Bank of Thailand (BOT) is unlikely to buck the global currency trend and seeks only to ensure that the baht's adjustment to the dollar's depreciation is consistent with other Asian currencies, experts said yesterday.

Robin Wilkin, a JP Morgan Chase technical strategist in London, was quoted by Reuters as saying the baht could potentially rise a further 5-6 per cent against the US dollar before meeting resistance on the charts.

He said he expected a move towards between Bt36.50 and Bt35.50, representing the baht's strongest point since 1998-99. After breaking through the Bt37.44 level last week, the baht should be stronger and the US dollar's bearish position confirmed.

Meanwhile, DBS Group Research said recent intervention by the Thai central bank did not mean the BOT wanted to dictate the baht level against the US dollar.

"What the BOT wants is to ensure that the US dollar's downward adjustment is consistent among the baht's Asian peers," it said. Well done Datuk Boleh. Sorry you had to pay higher prices but the farms and girls discriminate against races that they aren't comfortable with. If you're Indian you'll be even worse off. The girls will run away like you're plagued with some disease.

Malay is still not as bad and quite well accepted in Danok. Indian is also getting beter reception now compared to years ago where they are basically barred from entering the house as they worried if Chinese customer will refrain from going to their house if they allowed Indian patron. Suprisingly, when I brought a farang friend and getting same price as us, I would have expected him to be charged more.

Just some update to share, especially those that need in room internet connection.

Crystal Hotel - 750 baht with voucher from 707. Located beside Makro, a bit off city (no so convenient for those who dont drive) but the room deco is pretty romantic, comes with free wireless broadband and of course peaceful hotel.

Golden Crown Hotel - 650 baht with voucher from 707 with additional 70b for broadband internet per day. Walking distance behind New Season Hotel. Room condition pretty good for this price & king size bed. The only drawback is that the hotel is located in a small lane and quite quiet, especially at night. But at this price, I think this is the best value hotel as compared to New Season at 850baht if one not too fussy with the room.

Neo Hotel - Can't remember the price exactly. no internet connection in room but location is very convenient with most important spots in SKY are within walking distance.

Kiss Lounge - Ladies and customers as plentiful as usual but the average ages seems getting higher. By 8.30pm on Fri night, most leftover are easily over prime WL. One of their dancers from Kiss Chanel is looking delicious and surely approachable if you know the right way.

Water Bar - really pitiful situation as compared to its peak prime when it first open. Only few dancer qualfied quality while the rest are not worthy more than 1,500b farm WL. Just directly Opp, Sugarbeat seems more crowded and happening but there are more locals if one is comfortable with.

Paragon - As crowded and packed as usual. Many good target for hunting but their sound system getting worse and louder.

Overall, everything don't seems to change much, I am still enjoying good discount from my usual hangouts like Paragon, Kiss Lounge, Kiss Chanel & Volvo Club. Fri and Sat seems more crowded with cheongsters with more and more Sporean faces that was lead by tuk tuk or guide that lead all the farms to get a little price pushy on peak days. Must thank TigerAir for this.

Been reading up the Hatyai threads and really many great information on food,prices,location etc.

Considering making my virgin trip to check out the place.Just some queries hope Hatyai lao chiao can advise.

1)If going lone ranger any prob getting around and safety wise any concern?

2)Read that Novotel is the most ex hotel at bht1200.Is this the best option to stay in terms of luxury and comfort?

3)May be arriving late and newbie in Hatyai.So how to contact for FL room service? :D

Those thinking of going may want to check out tigerairways site.Flights there cost around $120 all in for return pretty good price. :D

The answer to your questions...
1. HDY is safe to cheong alone in... no issues... lots of bros here do that... as for getting around... the places u need to get to not difficult... just be mindful that Tuk Tuks earn commissions... so ask them to drop u somewhere for a drink/makan... and proceed from there... and Tuk Tuk standard charge is 15baht a head ... 20 baht if the location is far and its late at night...
2. I think Regency is still a better hotel... or ... try New Seasons or Golden Crown...
3.There is always your trusty bell boy leh... hehehe... or... try Kiss Lounge

for those bros intersted i think regency (new) is a good choice. i got the hotel vocher from tour agency at 950 a day.

this is my own personal experience only as i have not stay in other hotel, but it is good enough for me for sing$40.

1. Star rating for some hotels - kindly let me know if you have different opinions about the ratings of the hotels
2. I have added a remark column to some of the hotels to briefly comment on it. This hopefully will further assist newbies in deciding which hotel to stay.
3. Hotel room rates - should there be any changes, kindly let me know so that I can update it. Some rates like Neo and New Crown should be accurate (definitely not within the range of 700 - 1000baht as stated in some other site).

It seemed to be turbulence week since Saturday night.
I wasn't in HDY on Sat night but I got called from friends around 9 PM about bombing. On Sunday, I went to HDY picked up my customers at Novotel and New Seasons to visit factory. They told me that they just arrived in the Morning and saw many people check out at the Lobby.
I went to Penang to visit customer on Monday. I feel security at border wasn't tight as I expected but very few cars there.
I went back to border same day around 5:30PM and still saw many people at Dannok but I can't compare with normal situation because I've never been to Dannok very long time already.
Tuesday night, my friends call from BKK that it's coup and he didn't know who did it yet. Luckily, everything went OK because people who hate Taksin support military to do that.

I may go HDY to see what the situation after 2 majors incidents. Anyone want me to check their Teerak :p also can hehehehe

Streets are devoid of foreign vehicles... but there are some ppl trickling back in...

At SADAO... i have nooby tattoed on my forehead

Got the feedbacks from friends who were in Hdy last weekend, although I did discourage them from going. Maybe it is the wrong timing for them to visit the farms and PL, that why they did not manage to see the good stock like you did. As for the girls going to other places, they got the info from the girls they booked. Therefore I am not that negative and I have actually posted that I will lift the Hdy warning after this weekend when another friend will be back to give me some feedback on the situation. I am also comtemplating going there for the Loy Krathong festival if I am able to take leave.

Anyway I have read news that the muslim separatist group have express their interest to talk to the new military government and it will be good if it can end all the violence. Then all of us can cheong all other places in Southern Thailand with ease of mind. :D

No doubt, he did post lots of info about Hatyai but there are actually very few valueable FR or info if you were to remove those commercial intended. Guess those assisted would have compensated him one way or another. Overall, I think he is trying to provide a good service while making a living out of it which is fair and square but he applied the wrong strategy and resorted underhand to keep his tricks covered that resulted in today consequence. I bet none have actually complaint that he provided a fuck up service or letting him to earn commission but more on his dirty tricks under the table. May peace prevail now.

Information about Hatyai are all there in the DIY website. It is public property, so anyone is welcome to cut and paste them into existing or new Hatyai thread here. Afterall, these information are collected from the forums itself so feel free to make use of it to help new samsters. Some info may be outdated, so need fellow samsters to update and correct it.

For thaivisitor, so long as he just post information or share genuine reports here like the rest of us, I give my word that I will not bother him at all - unless he remain unrepentant and decides to start his tricks here again. LIke I said before, I have no problem with OKT plying their trade here, so long as they are open and honest about it. I have also archived quite a bit of reports posted by the few samsters in thaivisitor's thread before it was deleted, including those from kingstar. As I was quite busy lately and can only log in periodically, thanks to bro cyberliberal for his help. I will update them this weekend in the DIY website.

Since my mission here has already been accomplished, I will not appear anymore in this forum, but will just focus on updating the DIY site.

Looks like my suspicions were right all the while.. I suspected Madmax was TV. I think the one who was most surprised was TV himself.. he didn't know his own gang would turn around and bite him after they've discovered the truth about his con jobs. As for me I already know that this is just a matter of time. You just have to get it to your thick skull that samsters do not like to get conned and cheated, no matter how small or big the amount. What happened to the thread on TV's message?

Anyway, I spent a short night in Hadyai last weekend as well as Danuk. Surprised that Loy Kratong is quite a big event. The hotels were fully booked mostly by locals. 3 of my friends stayed at NEw Season and I stayed in Golden Crown. Since they did not have the normal room left I took the Junior Suite for 980THB after discount. Not bad for the price. The room is divided into 2 sections, the bedroom and the lounge area with dining table and sitting area. If you have a few friends over it's worth getting the Junior Suite.

My friends hooked up some freelancers from Paragon. Tall, slender with big boobs for 2000THB. Acc to him she was quite wild but not much communication as she speaks mainly Thai. One of her friends who did not have booking tagged along and one thing I learnt after that is don't let them tag along! She refused to leave my room and wanted some money to leave. In the end had to part with 500THB just to kick her out as I didn't want to create a big fuss. So if anyone of you guys face a similar situation, don't let girls that you don't want tag along with their friends to your hotel room.
