"We had a new software, we launched it in the Hong Kong market. Within two weeks, it was pirated. And after that the market is gone,” said Dr Richard Yen, managing director of Ednovation. “Since then, we've wised up, our software are now locked to the hardware - it requires activation. That helps us to protect the intellectual property.”
