Haha, I learned my lesson long ago when I visited a KTV alone at Serangoon Rd
Since then I prefer going to the Pinay joints in several places. It's easier to control your wallet in these joints.
B.t.w: I don't drink, I never buy a Martell. Only a beer and a soft drink. But I do spend the mony, giving more tips.

imo, any KTV can go alone. Here is my logic (correct me if i wrong):

book a small room probably $170 with 5 jugs beer (drink until vomit).
chun-chun choose a girl to sit whole nite (HH), say $150.

Total = $320.

Usually they have like 2 to 3 customer per night? if you offer $100 tips, high chance they will stay with you most of the time or if you can click well with them and they will be very willing to stay longer with you :D

I go alone sometimes. Like the experience of going to La Sap Bar, some gems to be discovered there. Not the Da Lu kind. Usually spend 100-150 per visit. Good fun for a reasonable price.

I always went alone... mostly the former Homiko KTV (couldn't remember the new name), near Lavendar food court. HH $88 for small room with 2 jugs drinks (beer or green tea or coke). It was HFJ, with CN gals, now has Viets. Enjoy. :D
