Unico Express is a crap & sham of a hotel. I stayed there 2 nights in March and was nothing like the pics u see on-line. Closest arp nam to National Stadium (Sanam Gilah) would be So Botan. A little too far to walk (20-25 minutes but I've done it). Take a tuktuk or motosai in the direction away from Siam to Rama 6. Take a right at Rama 6 and go maybe 200-300m. So Botan will be on your left. Anyway motosai rider will know for sure. Journey is around 5 minutes and will cost you 40-50B.

Sharing with bros some of my experiences there:

J-One (Body to body massage)

Has 3 categories:
3000Bht - prettier sidelines/fls who sits near the entrance (no B2B)
2500Bht - Fishtank gers who provide B2B massage for 90mins. Gers have not given birth b4
2000Bht - Fishtank gers (left hand side) who provide B2B massage for 90mins

Papasans here can be quite pushy and will ask for tips. Use your own discretion whether you want to give or not.

Sukhumvit massage joints: (covering Soi 16 to 24 as did not explore the rest)

Soi 16 - A couple of upscale spas and kapoo type joints. Many pretty and young uni girls are available for B2B massage with plus plus. Prices are typically on the high side (1000 to 3500Bht)

Soi 18, Soi 20 - Sprinkled with many traditional and oil massage shops with older masseuse. Good if you are looking for some good body rub at the end of the day.

Soi 22 - Has a couple of traditional and oil massage places.. some with really young gers. I had a couple of nice gers who "booked" me instead of the other way round :D Had a pretty 17 yr old in one of the shops and it was a fun 90mins session.. although I didn't ask for any special. BANGKOK: A plan to relieve congestion at Thailand's main Suvarnabhumi International Airport by moving low-cost airlines to the Don Muang Airport should soon cut the number of air passengers at the Suvarnabhumi International Airport by 10,000 per day.
Airports of Thailand Public Company Limited or AOT Vice President Somchai Sawasdipol, who is also Suvarnabhumi Airport Director, confirmed on Tuesday that low-cost airlines are scheduled to move from the Suvarnabhumi International Airport to the Don Muang Airport on Oct 1, 2012, including Thai AirAsia which serves growing passengers, reports Thai News Agency.

Somchai said AOT will also operate shuttle buses between both airports as of Oct 1 to facilitate passengers who need to travel between both airports, with four shuttle buses running from 6am to 10pm every day and departing from both airports hourly through expressways.

Somchai said that the number of passengers at the Suvarnabhumi International Airport should drop by some 10,000 daily, from 130,000 daily now, as of early next month.

Meanwhile, AOT celebrates the 6th anniversary of the Suvarnabhumi International Airport by decorating passenger terminals with world-renowned Thai orchids.

Did the Ratchada tour of the MPs yesterday, visiting the various places during the hours where the girls are mostly in at work (~5-7pm). It was a long walk from Poisedon down to Hway Kwang station....so kancheong walk so fast somemore and by the time we ended up at Hi-Class, was all sweaty. Next time I think take train from Suttisan to Hway Kwang. Anyway was surprised to see at least 20 girls in the fishtank, and only 1 lonely FL at the sideline. Amongst the 20, spotted 1-2 SYT girls that I would have considered taking, esp given the price of only 1900bht. The rest were mostly MILFs and below average looking. For Caesar facilities, although they renovated the main area, but the rooms needed an upgrade, and given the price range of the ladies Caesar, I was expecting more. La Belle rooms are way better than Caesar's, and girls are of similiar price. I would say the rooms are similiar to Poisedon standard (unless they renovated recently). Don't wanna talk about the girls, cos each of us have different preferences, and sometimes session depends on individual chemistry as well.

It was rather suprising that all four of us found the girls we liked in Caesar.... I would have thought that we'll all end up at Nataree instead, cos they have quantity to cater to everyone's taste, even though most would be on the SYT side. But I think it's partly because this group of friends do not have any particular preference for SYTs, and they prefer more OL type, and the ambience to choose slowly and to enjoy the facilities.

Met quite a number of Singaporean chiongsters in all the MPs we visited..dead giveaways were the SAF shoes or the Singlish accent. Still have afew other MPs to recce, and hopefully will have time to do so this trip. Will at least drop by La Belle sometime, still my favourite place unless find some new gems....

The Japanese have a long tradition of communal bathing and visitors to the country are often amazed at the sheer number of hot springs or onsen all over the country. But stripping naked and bathing with others is not something many Thais feel comfortable with.

That hasn't stopped Thai entrepreneur Smith Mekaroonkamol from opening Yunomori Onsen & Spa - Bangkok's very first Japanese-style public baths - on Sukhumvit Soi 26. Occupying an area of 2,700 square metres, Smith has opted for minimal decor in the two-storey building, with lots of pinewood and bamboo, beige upholstery and muted lighting as well as tubs in the garden.

"The Sukhumvit area is home to a large Japanese community but there is no public bath or sento to serve their needs. We expect Yunomori - which literally means 'hot water in the garden' - to support these Japanese expats so we're a little surprised that during our first month of operations, 40 per cent of our customers are Thais who had never experienced onsen in Japan," says Smith.

Smith has visited onsen in both traditional Japanese inns in the countryside and in modern hotels within major cities.

"Soaking oneself in hot water full of minerals is truly relaxing from head to toe. It's the best way to get away from hectic city life and de-stress after a hard day of work, as we stay open until midnight," says Smith.

"During the first week, we provided disposable underwear for female customers who were too shy to be naked in front of friends and other strangers. So far, only a few customers have asked for it. Perhaps there is an awareness that going completely unclothed is natural in the onsen while wearing even a minimum amount of clothing can draw attention to oneself."

An investment of Bt70 million has gone into the project, which is located in the new community mall A Square. Designed as a hangout for the whole family, the first floor features onsen facilities with separate areas for men and women, a beauty clinic, a Japanese restaurant and a cafe. The second floor is a spacious spa with 70 stations that offer pampering with Thai and aroma massage as well as reflexology.

"Onsen is a central feature of Japan while Thailand is known for great massage. I've combined these two features under the same roof," he says.

Each guest is allocated a locker along with two towels - big and small. All guests must wash and rinse themselves thoroughly before soaking in the hot water at the washing station where only the small towel is allowed. Like any typical Japanese public baths, on offer are buckets, stools and showers and toiletries such as soap and shampoo. Entering the onsen while still dirty or with traces of soap on the body is socially unacceptable, as is dropping the towel in the water or washing in the bath.

"The system operations follow strict Japanese standards under the supervision of a Japanese company and we've invested in an advanced censor system that ensures the cleanliness and maintains the temperatures of the water," says Smith.

Adorned with skylights to let natural light stream in, the onsen facilities for both men and women have six baths for each with different water temperatures varying from 38 to 42 degrees Celsius. Each facility can accommodate a maximum of 40 people.

It's recommended that you start with the soda spa - where the temperature is kept at a constant 38 degrees Celsius. Smith spent about Bt4 million on importing an artificial carbonated water generator from Japan, claiming that the highly concentrated carbon dioxide dissolved in water promotes the circulation and stimulates the metabolism. Next to it is a soda shower area said to be effective for a healthy hair and scalp.

When you get accustomed to the water's temperature, you may soak at a slightly higher temperature of 40-41 degrees Celsius in the jacuzzi bath. Then comes the main bath for which Smith brings in water from natural hot springs in the Southern province of Ranong. The temperature is set at about 42-43 degree Celsius.

There are also steam and sauna rooms and a cold bath set at 17 degrees Celsius for cooling down. Nature lovers may prefer to relax in the 40-degrees Celsius hot bath or go solo in the wooden bathtub - both set in the garden.

The onsen entrance fee including the use of all baths, sauna and steam rooms costs Bt450 (S$17.91) for adult and Bt250 for children aged 15 and under and seniors aged 65 and over. The spa treatments range from Bt350 for a one-hour Thai massage to Bt750 for 45-minute body scrub.

If you happen to be in the Huai Khwang area, you can take the MRT and exit from the Phetchaburi station. A short 5-minute walk will take you to Makkasan train station where you can catch a local train or airport link to the airport.

Depends on how long you need to wait at Makkasan, you might be soaking wet by the time you get on the train. I usually clean up and put on a fresh shirt at the airport before getting on the plane ;)
